Story
For more than a century, some of the world’s most important thinkers and leaders—men like Arthur Conan Doyle and William Butler Yeats—gathered once a month and discussed the supernatural at The Ghost Club in London. In the early 1900s the club's chairman was Harry Price, the world’s most well-known ghost hunter. He and other members, like Harry Houdini, sought to debunk the charlatans who preyed on vulnerable people with fake seances, tarot readings, and spiritual encounters.

Mike Rinder’s parents began taking him to their local Scientology center when he was five years old. After high school, he signed a billion-year contract and was admitted into Scientology’s elite inner circle, the Sea Organization. Brought to founder L. Ron Hubbard’s yacht and promised training in Hubbard’s most advanced techniques, Rinder was instead put to work swabbing the decks. Still, Rinder bought into the doctrine that his personal comfort was secondary to the higher purpose of Hubbard’s world-saving mission.

I loved their podcast sooo much and wanted more of these women! I thought this was going to be a “how to” stay safe book sprinkled with that awesome comedic wit that Karen and Georgia overflow with abundance. It was so much more than that. I related so much with this book. They talk like me, my age, from California like I was when I was young. I laughed and I cried. I even bought the hardcover too! I wish only the best and continued success for these women! A must read/listen for sure!

Gasping out-loud when her sister was being chased by the man who was all accounts crazy. Loving her Mother and her imitation of her. What a powerful book.
