Story
When an experiment to study quantum uncertainty goes spectacularly wrong, physics student Bill Rustad and his friends find that they have accidentally created an inter-dimensional portal. They connect to Outland - an alternate Earth with identical geology, but where humans never evolved. The group races to establish control of the portal before the government, the military, or evildoers can take it away. Then everything changes when the Yellowstone supervolcano erupts in an explosion large enough to destroy civilization and kill half the planet.

PENGUINS AND POLAR BEARS. NO WAY!! BECAUSE OF THE CONSTANT REFERENCE TO BOTH WAS UNABLE TO FINISH THE STORY. A SIMPLE CHECK WOULD HAVE TOLD THE WRITER THEY ARE NOT AT THE SAME POLAR REGION. VERY POORLY RESEARCHED.

SAD, SAD, SAD. THE STORY WAS SO TRUTHFUL FROM THE HISTORY I HAVE READ ABOUT THIS PERIOD, THAT I WOULD LISTEN TO A DIFFERENT BOOK BETWEEN PARTS, TO AVOID BEING DEPRESSED. VERY AUTHENIC AND HISTORICAL. GLAD THAT I LISTENED TO IT. VERY IMPRESSIVE READING. I NEVER FINISHED AND WASN'T IMPRESSED WHEN I READ IT. I LOVED THIS READING.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
THE WHOLE BOOK. WOULDN'T HAVE FINISHED IF NOT READ SO WELL.

Would you try another book from Janet Evanovich and/or C. J. Critt?
NO, I DIDN'T LIKE THE POOR MIXTURE OF ROMANCE AND MYSTERY. CATHERINE COULTER IS A MUCH BETTER WRITER WITH THIS TYPE OF MIX.
Has One for the Money turned you off from other books in this genre?
NOT FROM THE GENRE JUST THIS WRITER.
What does C. J. Critt bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
IF I WAS READING THIS BOOK I WOULD NOT HAVE FINISHED IT. BUT THE READING WAS GOOD ENOUGH TO LISTEN ALL THE WAY THRU.

Where does The Eleventh Plague rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I listen to a great many audiobooks. This one is a great listen for young adults and teenagers. The story is in the same vein as Earth Abides, told in a different viewpoint that is quite interesting. The twists are thought provoking. LOVED IT..
Who was your favorite character and why?
The main charector Stephen with the way he was raised and when he was raised, created a way of thinking that made me question some of my own thoughts.
Have you listened to any of Dan Bittner’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This s th frst time that I have listened to 1 of his readings that i am aware of. He did a real good job.

What did you love best about NYPD Red?
I am not sure, as I found the story not up to the standards that James Patterson adds to a story. The story seemed to lack the excitment at times and lost a continuity that i like in a good story.
Would you be willing to try another book from James Patterson and Marshall Karp ? Why or why not?
I would be willing to try another book just to see if they learned from the first. Not everyone has a hit straight out the first time. Even Stephen King has had some flops.
What does Edoardo Ballerini and Jay Snyder bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Very well read, just couldn't quite make up for the weak parts of the story/
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
I wouldn't make a movie of this story.
