Great Story - horrible Narrator

At first I thought the Narrator's voice was going to be great, but the fact that his tone and inflection doesn't change throughout the entire reading became a problem. It was especially difficult when multiple characters were conversing with each other and you could not easy tell who was saying any given line in the conversation as they all sounded and spoke the same.

This story was overall dull and uneventful. It reflects the direction that Blizzard (Activision) is taking WoW and has left me not caring about what happens next in this universe (which is something I have cared about for over 2 decades now).

The narrartor's performance was top notch however.

I enjoy the MHI books mainly because he has a great story line going on that doesn't get too "heavy" like a lot of the "high epic" series you can find all over these days.

Correia's ideas and concepts of traditional religions, myths, folklore, etc are definitely refreshing and his MHI books remind me of why I first began liking the TV show Supernatural.

So far I have only read/listened to the core books of the series, but I do have the books written by other authors in my Library for future enjoyment.

Throughout this entire book the audio segments overlap to where you have repeated sentences quite often.

The narrators did a great job, but whoever combined the recordings did a horrible job.

Would you listen to Debt of Honor again? Why?

No. I got through it only to continue on with the rest of Tom Clancy's books. The Narrator is very monotone and robotic sounding. After the first few hours it didn't seem as bad, but this is definitely sub-par when compared to other audiobooks I've purchased from Audible.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Great story, but definitely seems to be the point where Clancy takes a left turn away from the real world and begins developing his own alternate history. Definitely looking forward to the rest of his books.

Any additional comments?

If you have the time, I'd suggest reading this one instead of listening to the audio for this book. I originally had it halfway read, but due to work, school, and family schedules, my spare time for reading was killed and the audiobook was the only real option.
