The story would be good but the Narrator sounds like she is reading not telling a story. She is dry in every book she has narrated that I have listened to. Nicole Small brings Ashley's books to Life.

Ashley is a fantabulous writer and story teller. She got writers block with Alani and Ethic. My head hurt with all the back and forth with Alani and her emotions. She wanted to have sex with him and then one itty bitty thing and she turned into Petty Crocker. I know it happens but come on this book could of been over 15 chapters ago.

Story is too long and detailed
Reviewed: 08-17-19
I really enjoy Nora Roberts, this doesn't seem like her writing at all I have listened to 8 of her books in less than 2 months and this book has been the hardest book to get through. Too many details of the main character growing up and every day of her life. No clues as to who did it, also other characters just drop out the story. very confusing.

Story
It was a typical evening at a mall outside Portland, Maine. Three teenage friends waited for the movie to start. A boy flirted with the girl selling sunglasses. Mothers and children shopped together, and the manager at the video game store tended to customers. Then the shooters arrived. The chaos and carnage lasted only eight minutes before the killers were taken down. But for those who lived through it, the effects would last forever.

I am a die hard Saint's Fan that has never had the opportunity to be in New Orleans or even set foot on Louisana soil. But listening to this book, I felt everything. The ups the downs, the momentum this audio book and the narrator took me on, I found myself cheering and jumping up and down as if I was really at the games. Thank you for giving me a history on my favorite football team ever and the only one. "Who Dat".
