Story
I’ve been in this life for fifty years, been trying to work out its riddle for forty-two, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last thirty-five. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me. Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries.

I've had this book in my collection for a few months. It was gift from a friend. I have had no desire to listen, because I figured it was another Hollywood elite claiming "How great thou art." After deciding to give it a listen, I was hooked. It is an amazing view into the life of the uncommon actor. Certainly not what I expected.

Internal pressures, enormous military expenditures, and the destruction of their primary energy source have brought the Klingon Empire to the verge of catastrophic collapse. To avert disaster, Gorkon, Chancellor of the Klingon High Council, proposes negotiations between the Federation and Klingon Empire, negotiations that will put an end to the years of hostility between the two powers, and herald a new era of peace and cooperation.

short and sweet
Reviewed: 11-20-22
It was heavily edited. Usually, books are more detailed than movies. This is not the case. It is enjoyable as a quick story, but as a star trek fan I found it lackluster.

Story
Father of cyberpunk William Gibson’s original script for Alien III, written in 1987 as a sequel to Aliens, never made it to our screens, although it went on to achieve cult status among fans as the third instalment that might have been after being leaked online. This terrifying, cinematic multicast dramatisation - directed by the multi-award-winning Dirk Maggs - is the chance to experience William Gibson’s untold story and its terrifying, claustrophobic and dark encounters between humans and aliens, as a completely immersive audio experience.

Story
When the Colonial Marines set out after their deadliest prey, the Xenomorphs, it's what Corporal Hicks calls a bug hunt - kill or be killed. Here are fifteen all-new stories of such "close encounters", written by many of today's most extraordinary authors. Set during the events of all four Alien films, sending the Marines to alien worlds, to derelict space settlements, and into the nests of the universe's most dangerous monsters, these adventures are guaranteed to send the blood racing - one way or another.

A must have for aliens fans!

These stories will put you into battle right along with the colonial marines! Vivid description, and just plain great story telling, makes each short story it's own little movie for your mind. The best stories are the ones utilizing the already beloved characters from the movie. These tell the stories of events that shaped them before Aliens. There are also some pretty terrifying other aliens introduced in these stories. I have really enjoyed this compilation. I cannot recommend it enough!

A far better book than I imagined. for a book written in 1954, and set in the 70's, it is far more advanced than I thought it would be.
