Story
Maya loves to cook with her grandmother - her Halmunee - to connect with the rich family history associated with each dish, a history Maya's mom would prefer stayed in the past. While cooking with Halmunee, something remarkable happens - the food creates such a strong memory that Maya and Halmunee are transported back in time through the memory itself. Halmunee explains that the women in her family have the gift of time travel through food and Maya can do it too, if she practices.

Even though you can guess the twist that's coming. You'll still be surprised, this is well written. And I'd like to find more of Flora Ahn's stories. ^^

Story
Psychologist Margot Scott has a picture-perfect life: a nice house in the suburbs, a husband, two children and a successful career. On a warm spring morning Margot approaches one of her clients on a busy train platform. He is looking down at his phone, with his duffel bag in hand as the train approaches. That’s when she slams into his back and he falls in front of the train. Margot’s clients all lie to her, but one lie cost her family and freedom.

J.P.... Why you do this to me?
Reviewed: 04-19-20
The narration is well done. Hats off to Aimee Horne. The characters are quite distinct. It's just... The male voices, differantiating them, especially when having to slip between accents.
The most memorable moments. Are the racing of my mind in guesses and analysing.
And the twists.
My overall remains a three because... Well, this will sound odd. But there are a few (seldom, but still there) moments where I could pause the story and be all right with leaving it completely. Not finishing the audiobook at all and being all right with that.
But then there are bits that grab at you. Get you hooked that you're listening almost hours on end.
Such extremes.
"Good" stories (should) leave their mark on you though.
I believe that this one might.
Although, that could be because this isn't really my genre. So perhaps it could be chalked up to novel experiences?

I enjoyed the first (audio) book. And it's always comforting to hear the same narrator for a series.
My goodness though, this second one. I am eager to start on the next/last book. But I shall be so sorry to finish this trilogy.

I can imagine Miss Marple's voice as I type this out. 😅🤭
It was so nice to hear Joan Hickson's voice again. For all the terrible murders, I feel like this is a series I will enjoy going through in my life (time). Although, now I'm tempted to start on the Hercule Poirot series.
But it is queer. To listen to all these discussions of these cases. Why... It almost makes me feel liko I'm beside Miss Marple, listening to her as she shares her observations on human nature.

As griping as the family situation is, that keeps it real.

Story
The New York Times best-selling true story of an all-American girl and a boy from Zimbabwe and the letter that changed both of their lives forever. It started as an assignment. Everyone in Caitlin's class wrote to an unknown student somewhere in a distant place. Martin was lucky to even receive a pen-pal letter. There were only 10 letters, and 50 kids in his class. But he was the top student, so he got the first one. That letter was the beginning of a correspondence that spanned six years and changed two lives.

But the performance... So worth the time.
