Story
Grace Evans, an overworked New Yorker looking for a total escape from her busy life, books an Airbnb on a ranch in the middle of Wyoming. When she arrives at the idyllic getaway, she’s pleased to find that the owner is a handsome man by the name of Calvin Wells—and he’s eager to introduce her to his easygoing way of life. But there are things Grace discovers that she’s not too pleased about: A lack of cell phone service. A missing woman. And a feeling that something isn’t right with the ranch.

Story was a little slow and dark. Of course had a twist that many wouldn’t see coming.

Loved that there were two narrator voices and their points of view. Great twist too! It would make a great movie

Story
It’s been a decade since Trumanell Branson disappeared, leaving only a bloody handprint behind. Her pretty face still hangs like a watchful queen on the posters on the walls of the town’s Baptist church, the police station, and in the high school. They all promise the same thing: We will find you. Meanwhile, Tru's brother, Wyatt, lives as a pariah in the desolation of the old family house, cleared of wrongdoing by the police but tried and sentenced in the court of public opinion and in a new documentary about the crime.

Great story but medicore audio delivery

I think this is a fabulous story. In fact, it would be a great Netflix series. I have to say that the sample they gave you is very misleading. It has a very enticing voice. The majority of the book is in a very slow, soft woman’s voice. That makes it very hard to focus on the story. It almost puts you to sleep and caused me to often drift and lose big parts of the text.

I feel like i just spent over an hr listening to someone tell boring road stories and coach us on how to be a better uber/lyft driver or better passenger. Do not recommend.
