Enjoyed the story. Narration is good although was a little fast, so I slowed it down to 0.90 speed using Audible app for listening to it. Ending felt a bit rushed being a shorter novella.

A Truly Blended Family
Reviewed: 09-09-23
This isn't really a taboo story and has multiple tropes. There is definitely angst as the main characters work through their issues and feelings for one another. The secondary characters are supportive and add to the family story. Good narration and you can tell which character is speaking in a consistent manner. Nan Cambell is a new author for me and and I enjoyed listening to this book.

Lighthearted erotica

Funny erotica at its best. Started laughing from the beginning all the way through the end. Instead of love at first sight this is love with first spell. Good narration especially with the erotic sounds when combined.

Sweet College Professors Novella
Reviewed: 10-01-22
This is a sweet story that had relatable characters. There was some confusion in the timing of the building romance and how rushed things seemed to get to the HEA. With the Audible version I'd give it a 3.5 as the narration seemed to fit the characters as they are written. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Slow Burn At Its Best
Reviewed: 01-20-21
I love how first attraction develops into a sweet romance, even with life's obstructions and distractions. The cast of characters surrounding the Your Way fitness center community are down to earth and very relatable. Jamey writes in ways that feel real and heartfelt including emotional roller coasters at times. Great narration especially with all the different Texan voices and emotional expressions. Love how the Audible version really brings the book to life!

Sweet Christmas novella about first love being the forever love even after 25 years apart. These characters show what happens when true love stays within their hearts no matter how much time, hurt and pain have passed. Vanessa's son Declan adds even more emotional depth and humor to this story. Good narration and flow. Enjoyable and well written.

Riveting historical tale about the Yukon Gold Rush days for Thomas & Rachel and how their lives become intertwined. Thomas is a woman, living as a man unlike any other tackling this life changing journey. While Rachel shows the hardships and toughness of what it was like to live as a woman during those times. Hearing all of the emotions just pulls you even more into this gripping story. Good narration and flow along with having distinct voices for supportive secondary characters. I truly fell in love with this debut and can't wait for more from Luci Dreamer!

Story
I’m Ivy Giacometti, a nightclub singer from New York, but tonight, I’m masquerading as Miss Black. I’m visiting my friend Tessa who lives in New Orleans and we’ve just been busted for gate-crashing a masked party after Tessa pretends to know Countess Montgomery, the mysterious hostess. A charming and devilishly attractive stranger saves us from humiliation and ushers us inside, and it soon becomes clear that this is not the kind of party I was expecting.

I loved this tantalizing tale of learning to trust. Full of hedonism at the beginning as wayward souls embrace and explore. Then it's sensual, lustful, steamy moments woven together as romance blossoms. Fantastic narration, very expressive and believable. Another success from Madeleine Taylor!
