Story
The last thing I expected when I ran out on my wedding was to wake up in Vegas married to Mason Reyes, the cocky, gorgeous, and much younger NFL quarterback for the Boston Rebels. I've always been a smart, responsible doctor. The good girl. And yet here I am with a drunken photo of our nuptials leaked and spreading like wildfire. Considering my ex is his former teammate, it's as bad as it gets.

Good story- a few surprises
Reviewed: 06-18-25
I still say this series would benefit from duet narration, instead of dual. Not all voice actors can play both sides of a sex scene. I feel sorry for this poor guy alone studio trying to make that happen. His girl voice is a little too “Minnie Mouse“.
I liked the story, there was some suspense and some twists. The characters were believable as was the relationship.
Overall highly entertaining.

Story
In my defense, I had no clue the gorgeous guy I had a wildly steamy night with was my brother's best friend. Or the single dad of the little girl I was about to nanny. I hadn't seen Dr. Owen Fritz since I was twelve and he was twenty-four, but even back then, I didn't care much about him. He was doing his billionaire, master-of-the-universe, medical school thing, and I was too into art and books to notice anyone. Now he's cold and broody, but he doesn't scare me the way he does everyone else. He's been scarred, but I've been scarred worse.

Great chemistry. Realistic romance. I would’ve liked to see the MMC punched the former lover, but other than that, it was great.

Story
A baby of convenience with my new boss? Not exactly what I had in mind when I decided I wanted to try to get pregnant. But that’s exactly the situation I find myself in with Dr. Bennett Lawson. The ridiculously gorgeous, broody billionaire I kissed years ago is asking to have a baby with me. We both have our reasons for wanting this and with our ugly pasts, it’s an undeniably convenient arrangement. No love. No relationship. Strictly business.

Good pace, believable characters, nice spice.
Dual narration did not serve this story well. The narrators couldn’t pronounce each others voices and really took you out of the story.

Story
My family was never supposed to meet my fake fiancee. Except she just walked into my hospital room, looking just as surprised as I am. All because of one white lie. They think we’ve been together for a year, but I only met her last night. I panicked after my father didn’t name me as the next CEO of our family’s billion-dollar company. His reasoning was that “I care *too* much about work”. In fact, the whole small town we live in thinks I’m too rigid and too serious.

Well… there is a Daddy/brat going on for sure. Over the top. So bratty it’s like a drunk toddler, very annoying.
It’s about 5 hours too long. “I dream of doing X to her, but I can’t… repeat over and over. Characters flat.

Glitch- I’m obsessed with a woman I’ve never met. Hell, I’ve never even seen a picture of her, unless you count the cartoon avatar she displays during our online gaming nights. To Ara, I’m a quiet gamer who keeps a chat open in case she wants to vent about her day or her loser boyfriend. She has no clue who I am, what I look like, or that she’s the star in the filthy audio recordings I create for my personal pleasure.

If you were looking for spice, you found it. Probably the spiciest I’ve ever read per page.
Voice actors were perfect for the character described.
My rating is based the book meeting the expectations it set out. It’s not War and Peace, but it’s not trying to be.
There’s plot to fill the non-bedroom scenes and believable, likable characters who you are rooting for.
No third act break up. Overall enjoyable read.

I liked that it got a quick start, went right into the plot. The main characters got together fairly quickly.
After that, it just kind of stalled. I ended up skipping to the end.

Convincing Anh that Olive is dating and well on her way to a happily ever after was always going to take more than hand-wavy Jedi mind tricks: Scientists require proof. So, like any self-respecting biologist, Olive panics and kisses the first man she sees.

I liked the characters and the story was well paced. There was a lot of misunderstanding tropes that became a little tedious. And the friend demanding the fake couple have interactions (kiss him, sit on his lap, sleep over) really made you want to slap her.

Rosie Belmont has been driving me wild for years. The good kind of wild. The bad kind of wild. But mostly the kind of wild that comes with wanting your best friend’s little sister and knowing you can’t have her. After living in the city, she comes blasting back into Rose Hill like a storm. Beautiful, messy, and chaotic. And one wide-eyed desperate plea for a job is all it takes for me to hire her.

I am reviewing this after one book, as I’m not sure when/if I will finish the other two.
Well, there’s one narrator with a gravely voice. Needless to say he doesn’t do the female voices well.
The book is written from an omniscient perspective, which means we go from MMC thoughts to FMC thoughts, making it hard to tell who’s thinking and speaking.
The story could use a little work, there’s some plot whiplash going on.
For example, MMC, “You want to get married? You’re just after me for my crown!”
FMC “no I’m not!”
MMC “ oh, OK then we should get married no matter what.”
Some plot points unresolved.
