Things aren't going well for Slippery Jim diGriz. First there was the robbery of the Mint on Paskönjak that went terribly wrong, and then that little matter of a death penalty. And last but not least, there's the deal Slippery Jim cuts with the authorities, which, on reflection, doesn't look much better than slow death. In exchange for his life, Slippery Jim must retrieve a missing alien artifact from the planet Liokukae - a dumping ground for the Galactic League's misfits, murderers, maniacs, and the incurably obnoxious.

Guy Montag is a fireman. In his world, where television rules and literature is on the brink of extinction, firemen start fires rather than put them out. His job is to destroy the most illegal of commodities, the printed book, along with the houses in which they are hidden. Montag never questions the destruction and ruin his actions produce, returning each day to his bland life and wife, Mildred, who spends all day with her television "family."

I've been meaning to read this book for decades. Bradbury has put into words why free thinkers are resented, and that with the power of knowledge comes a responsibility for how we use it to relate to our neighbors. Knowing doesn't make you special or better, it makes you aware.

I've listened to Ready Player One several times... It is such a good story. I'm not sure that Player Two was quite as captivating, but I couldn't turn it off either. I'm sure I'll listen to this one at least a few times, and I'd certainly watch it if made into a movie. I'm sure the battles would be epic on the big screen.

Civil war looms in the Bobiverse in this brand-new, epic-length adventure by Audible number one best seller Dennis E. Taylor. More than a hundred years ago, Bender set out for the stars and was never heard from again. There has been no trace of him despite numerous searches by his clone-mates. Now Bob is determined to organize an expedition to learn Bender’s fate - whatever the cost. But nothing is ever simple in the Bobiverse. Bob’s descendants are out to the 24th generation now, and replicative drift has produced individuals who can barely be considered Bobs anymore.

Loved the whole series, book 4 did not disappoint. Dennis Taylor took the story to the next level, and Ray Porter is THE PERFECT narrator for the Bobiverse, he nails the nuances of multiple incarnations of the same voice. I've listened to the whole series each time a new book comes out, and it hasn't gotten old yet. Must read for sci-fi fans!

I had been trying to remember anything about this series for years until the movie came out... Pretty sure there were only a few books in the Lewis Barnavelt series when I was young, and I'm sure I read them several times before returning them to the library. There was a good blend of mystery, adventure, magical mystical mojo, and most of all Lewis had this degree of independence and autonomy that appealed to me, George Guidall's reading is expressive and soothing and took me back nearly 40 years! I can't wait to become re-aquated with this series.

I expected a lot less of this collection. I'll agree that the stories weren't great, but the aren't as bad as others made them out to be. If you DEMAND a great read or don't appreciate strong language spare your self the annoyance. Otherwise, go ahead and get the book to finish up the chronicles.

Good for beginners

I've been following CBD for decades. The information contained in this book is good and accurate to the best of my knowledge for anyone just starting their research into CBD and Hemp for health. She cautions several times through out the book that it is important not to self diagnose, and always inform your doctor if using these products. But knowing that the medical industry is still struggling to understand CBD/Hemp in a medical context, it's always best to be informed.
My caution to everyone, since cannabis is a schedule 1 narcotic there is NO pure research that can be trusted. Don't be lazy, ALWAYS check the source of any study before taking it seriously. Chances are that it has a snake-oil bias.
