Hash things out, yes, but . . . LOVE ONE ANOTHER!

Excellent training in the exercise of Evangelical theological method, skillfully woven together with a continual encouragement towards love of the brethren. There will always be secondary things on which we disagree, and this wonderful little book enlightens the reader as to just why this may be. Different gifts, different skills sets, different callings, different histories combine to develop each of our brothers and sisters in Christ. I had at least a dozen wonderful epiphanies while listening. I hope this book eventually becomes required reading for every seminary. Additionally, the reader is just remarkable; many thanks to him for facilitating understanding and interest from start to finish!

Story
Whenever we read, think, hear, or say anything about God, we are doing theology. Yet theology isn't just a matter of what we think. It affects who we are. Kelly Kapic offers a concise introduction to the study of theology for newcomers to the field. He highlights the value and importance of theological study and explains its unique nature as a serious discipline. Not only concerned with content and method, Kapic explores the skills, attitudes, and spiritual practices needed by those who take up the discipline.

This deeply moving little book repeatedly demonstrates the need for one's sanctification to accompany one's pursuit of theology. So grateful this was assigned seminary reading both for RTS as well as DTS. What a privilege it would be to one day meet the author.
