Story
Greg Donahue’s The Minuteman, tells the story of one of Newark’s native sons; ex-prizefighter and longtime Zwillman enforcer Sidney Abramowitz, a.k.a. Nat Arno, who took over leadership of the Minutemen in 1934 and made it his personal business to put an end to what he saw as the Bund’s “anti-American” activities. For six years, Arno and his crew of vigilantes battled Newark’s Nazis at every turn. The Minuteman is a story of the ethics of violence in the face of fascism; a forgotten legacy that is as relevant now as it was nearly a hundred years ago.

if you watched the Star Wars Clone Wars show and the Star Wars Rebels show, this is a great description of what Ahsoka did between those series and even somewhat mentions what is expected to happen is season 7 of Clone Wars.

Stephen Fry makes a hard read a delight
Reviewed: 11-12-18
I've attempted to read the Sherlock Holmes collection many times since I was a kid, but its length and complexity always led to me giving up and picking up another book. But with Stephen Fry reading it became much easier. It still took me several months to finish the entire series (I would read a book between each of the parts for some variety) but I finally finished it. The weird thing is now I want to start all over again. #StephenFry #LongRead #WorthTheTime #WorthTheRe-Read #tagsgiving and #sweepstakes

Makes you think of things you already know

I don't think any of the rules of this book are anything people don't already know they should do in their life, but it makes you think about it with a different perspective. Peterson also explains his reasoning as to why these are rules you should follow and how it will improve your life and the life of those around you. #SelfHelp #Motivating #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

Story
All Systems Red is the tense first science fiction adventure novella in Martha Wells' series The Murderbot Diaries. For fans of Westworld, Ex Machina, Ann Leckie's Imperial Raadch series, or Iain M. Banks' Culture novels. The main character is a deadly security droid that has bucked its restrictive programming and is balanced between contemplative self-discovery and an idle instinct to kill all humans.

Great random Daily Deal Pickup
Reviewed: 11-12-18
I randomly picked up this book on a daily deal and it turned out to be really good. It is a unique take on the sci-fi genre where we are experiencing a seemingly fully developed universe but from the point of view of the technology not the humans. I can't wait to delve deeper into this interesting universe. I'm just not sure I would spend a credit on this book considering how short it is but it got me so interested that now I have the entire series in my wish list and i will pick up any of these books when they are available for the daily deal. #DailyDealGold #Sci-FY #WorldBuilding #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

Story
Ben Shapiro uncovers the simple strategy used by liberals and their friends in the media: bully the living hell out of conservatives. Play the race card, the class card, the sexism card. Use any and every means at your disposal to demonize your opposition - to shut them up. Then pretend that such bullying is justified because, after all, conservatives are the true bullies and need to be taught a lesson for their intolerance.

Shapiro calls out the Left
Reviewed: 11-12-18
Shapiro calls out the Left for all the manipulation and lies they have spread for the last few decades. This is a good primer for understanding a lot of the flaws inherent in the many political discussions we are currently having. Many people have developed their political opinions on the narrative created by the lies and manipulative tactics Shapiro has exposed in this book. I don't think this book will change many mind considering those who will read this book typically already agree with Shapiro politically, and those who don't agree with Shapiro will likely call this book hate speech and try to get it banned. Hopefully this book will be read by many people with different opinions and mindsets will read this book and learn about the tactics being used to manipulate them. #EyeOpening # StandAgainstBullies #CallOutTheLeft #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

Stephen Leeds is perfectly sane. It's his hallucinations who are mad. A genius of unrivaled aptitude, Stephen can learn any new skill, vocation, or art in a matter of hours. However, to contain all of this, his mind creates hallucinatory people - Stephen calls them aspects - to hold and manifest the information. Wherever he goes, he is joined by a team of imaginary experts to give advice, interpretation, and explanation. He uses them to solve problems...for a price. Then a company hires him to recover stolen property - a camera that can allegedly take pictures of the past....

Another reason to love Sanderson's work
Reviewed: 11-12-18
Started reading this series after reading all of the series that are part of Sanderson's Cosmere. This series and other Sanderson series are not connected to the Cosmere but they are still worth the listen. This series is more Sci-Fi than Sanderson's typical fantasy. The story is very compelling and psychological. This version of the book includes the entire series including the 2 books that are sold separately on audible do its a good deal if you don't already have the others in the series. #BrandonSanderson #WholeTriogy #Sci-Fi # Sci/Fantasy #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

An all-new, full-cast dramatization of the classic graphic novel. The isolated town of Barrow, Alaska, is plunged into darkness for a month each year when the sun sinks below the horizon. As the last rays of light fade, the town is attacked by a bloodthirsty gang of vampires bent on an uninterrupted orgy of destruction. Only Barrow's husband-and-wife sheriff team stand between the survivors and certain destruction. . By the time the sun rises, will they pay the ultimate price - or worse?

Like listening to a play
Reviewed: 11-12-18
I've only seen the movie and haven't read the graphic novel. Listening to this was like listening to a live play. The voice acting is great and the sound effects were enough to really stimulate my imagination. I liked it much better than the movie, maybe because I could imagine the scenes better than they were portrayed in the movie. I wouldn't say this story was scary but it was entertaining for the majority of its run time. I definitely can't say the same for them movie which is almost twice as long. #TheBookIsBetter #AudiblePlay #Violent #Alaska #Vampires #tagsgiving #sweepstakes
