Story
As her heart and relationship held onto their last fraying threads, she made a rash decision to save them both. She quit her job, shoved her things into a backpack, and booked two one-way tickets to Thailand. She was going to become a scuba diver. She was going to try to salvage her relationship. And like a true mermaid, she was going to swim her way out of the blue hole she had drowned herself in while taking a journey through a sensational world within our vast oceans.

Thanks Tiffani for another great adventure book. I’ve motorcycled about 20,000 miles around the US & Canada including two trips on to/from AK. Scuba diving and visits to Japan are on my list. I’m always impressed with how you make it all happen.

Great book

As a long time ICU RN so much of this resonates. It’s inspired me to update my advance directive, talk about it with my family, and explore euthanasia. A long term ICU or LTAC stay would be worse than death.

Story
It was 1953, the Korean War in full throttle, when two men—already experts in their fields—crossed the fabled 38th Parallel into Communist airspace aboard matching Panther jets. John Glenn was an ambitious operations officer with fifty-nine World War II combat missions under his belt. His wingman was Ted Williams, the two-time American League Triple Crown winner who, at the pinnacle of his career, was inexplicably recalled to active service in the United States Marine Corps. Together, the affable flier and the tempestuous left fielder soared into North Korea, creating a death-defying bond.
