feels like the book doesn't progress the story

Feel good story

The only thing I can’t stand every time I listen to this book is how emotionally unavailable Sean is. I get he doesn’t want to hurt Fiona, but she’s literally giving him permission. I’ve read up to book 5 so far and it does get better somewhat but seriously, he is way too emotional in the wrong way. It doesn’t really depict how 9/10 men would act. I’m not saying I would just jump in bed with another women if I loved someone else, but it’s a different world with different customs, it’s worth a shot considering you’re literally soul bonded lol come on now seany boy

Max is kinda irritating. In every book with this mc, he constantly says he’s nothing special. At first it makes sense, but when you turn into a giant beast that can rip things apart with your bare hands, have multiple wives everyone else wants, and have 100’s of followers, maybe you should stop the whole “I’m not special” act.

The raw emotion in this series is overwhelming at times. You can see every scene perfectly. It’s one of those series that get better every book. You must give it more than 2 chapters, give it a chance.

The princess spider is precious and the narrator did great with her voice. I like how cruel the story line is, I’m a dark kinda guy. But I didn’t like the back and forth on morality, other than that, I enjoyed it.

Bad choices but good story

The leadership choice was not a good one. I’ll never understand how an author, with all the power in their hands, refuse to make their characters think. If you’re a smart player, you make yourself a power house and then utterly obliterate anyone who’d go against you or your family, overlord style (lord Ainz if you catch my meaning ;) ). That simple. Color me insane, but I trust myself more than anyone else. Other than that unwise decision, in my opinion Ofcourse, it’s a good book. Not really into the wording of some of the “cursing” the author uses lol but it adds some humor to it.
