like this storyline but the accents are bizarre. I lived in FL for a while and never heard any accents like these, very much a distraction from the storyline. Admittedly I never met anyone from the Greenville area, but I surely never met anyone with these accents. I will try five oh and decide whether I'm committing further

With Flame and Fortune being a tough act to follow this book did ok. I enjoyed the addition of Harrison and Cassie they bring a nice variety to the sea of personalities! Delving into some Cajun culture is always interesting. This time I was surprised by the ending! I enjoyed this book and will add it to my Miss Fortune repeat list

Davis Way is hired by the executive assistant to a casino conglomerate president. Her uncanny likeness to the president's wife is a big factor for her hiring and leads to a series of unfortunate events, deep trouble and danger. Davis deals with a few ongoing family issues, for example what kind of Mother would withhold information from her daughter like a severe seafood allergy and act like it's no big deal?!?!
I liked the story and the characters. I prefer this type of whodunit mystery without graphic violence and with humor mixed in as I use Audible for bedtime stories. The style Reminds me of Jana Deleon's Miss Fortune mysteries, Jennifer Crusie or Janet Evanovich.
Some of the writing didn't flow smoothly, like switching from present to past or from Davis' thinking to actuality, I backed up several times to clearly understand what was happening. I look forward to more of this series

didn't finish. I thought it was about women's voting rights, or perhaps a stolen painting or book. I feel the publisher review is misleading

pretty slow moving, somewhat predictable. Disappointed in the overall story. This narrator is better, Arkansans don't have the accent of the previous narrator. Will try another volume or 2, hopefully it will pick up the pace

I enjoyed the first 2 of this series, but this one was lacking. storyline was interesting but the playacting was laborious. I hope to read more from this trio but better
