Amazing and life-changing.

I am so grateful for this book. When I found out that my father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, I wanted to learn more about the brain and how nutrition could play a role in this neurodegenerative disease. To be honest, I was a little intimated to tackle this complex subject, but my fear quickly disappeared, and the knowledge and understanding of how the brain works and how to support it were very easy to learn, thanks to Shawn’s approach to writing and teaching. Between his amazing podcast (The Model Health Show) and the library of episodes, I was able to gain the knowledge needed to help my dad and my mom as they manage this disease. I, myself have changed my lifestyle to also help support a healthier brain. This book didn't only have a positive and life-changing effect on one person, but multiple generations.

Inspiring and motivating for a Career Changer

I heard about this book and author through the Wisdom from the Top Podcast with Guy Raz. Shellye’s explanation on her strategies on how to improve your odds to achieve your goals were so succinct and understandable, I had to purchase her book. I am so glad I did and learned even more ways and to gain a clear perspective on how to take action through her storytelling. I recently changed careers at midlife and found this book to be so inspiring, motivating, and relevant, even in my 40s. Age doesn’t limit your abilities to achieve your goal, now that there’s a blueprint outlined by Shellye.

I enjoyed listening to author’s stories. They were heartfelt, touching and helpful. I’m sure if I had the book to follow the instructions it would have been more effective to follow along.
