Very Well Crafted!

To my surprise this story actually has been the most rewarding story I've ever read. I felt as though I was right in the middle of it. And though many of movies have been staged or background set in Alabama, this book was the best. I appreciated being able to properly identify with the areas most frequented throughout. Even the main roads and streets mentioned were very familiar. So the truth is I am a lifelong resident of Birmingham. I was raised in one part of town mentioned and for 20 years of my adult life I worked in the other . I have seen and know of people with some of the characteristics described through the entire book. I will definitely recommend this book to many of my friends.

I enjoyed the storyline for the most part. But I think I would have liked more detail in the closure since the majority of the story was long on details.

When Claire sees Hannah Wilson at an exclusive Manhattan hair salon, it's like a knife slicing through barely healed scars. It may have been 10 years since Claire last saw Hannah, but she has thought of her every day, and not in a good way. So Claire does what anyone would do in her position - she stalks her. Hannah is now Mrs. Carter, living the charmed life that should have been Claire's. It's the life Claire used to have before Hannah came along and took it all away from her.

I love a book with complete closure and resolve.
Reviewed: 10-22-20
I know you can't write the resolve and closure in great detail because it could make the ending too long and drawn out. However, a nice quick narrative of the outcome is very much appreciated. Thanks for giving me that and not leaving me hanging with what happened to Claire, as well as the other characters that I grew to know and like!

Mark, Todd, and Zola came to law school to change the world, to make it a better place. But now, as third-year students, these close friends realize they have been duped. They all borrowed heavily to attend a third-tier, for-profit law school so mediocre that its graduates rarely pass the bar exam, let alone get good jobs. And when they learn that their school is one of a chain owned by a shady New York hedge-fund operator who also happens to own a bank specializing in student loans, the three know they have been caught up in The Great Law School Scam.

They call me a slut. Maybe I am. Sometimes I do things I despise. Sometimes men take without asking. But I have a musical gift, only a year left of high school, and a plan. With one obstacle. Emeric Marceaux doesn’t just take. He seizes my will power and bangs it like a dark note. When he commands me to play, I want to give him everything. I kneel for his punishments, tremble for his touch, and risk it all for our stolen moments.
