Story
The accident came quickly. With no warning. In the dead of night, a precipitous plunge into a freezing river trapped everyone inside the bus. It was then that Army veteran John Reiff’s life came to an end. Extinguished in the sudden rush of frigid water. There was no expectation of survival. None. Let alone waking up beneath blinding hospital lights. Struggling to move, or see, or even breathe. But the doctors assure him that everything is normal. That things will improve. What they haven’t told him… is that he is the first person to be successfully revived from a cryonic sleep.

The story was very original and I can’t wait to read the rest. Good choice with Scott Brick as narrator!

Story
Alice and Seth are a perfect love story: the handsome doctor and his beautiful fiancée. They’re wealthy, well liked and made for each other—the envy of all their friends. Alice can’t wait for the day of their dream wedding. But when she arrives at the altar, she doesn’t recognise the man waiting to marry her. When this stranger insists he’s Seth, her husband-to-be, the entire congregation seems to agree. Even her parents try to persuade Alice to go through with the wedding.

Aggravating
Reviewed: 10-24-23
It’s hard to dislike a book, and I’m easily entertained. However, I’m left frustrated and aggravated with myself for continuing to listen. I wanted to slap the mealy-mouthed heroine (if that’s what you want to call her). She jumps in and out of relationships like I change my underwear. Shallow characters and weak, unbelievable story line. Narrator did well though. Kept me listening.
