Brandy has influenced the last quarter century of pop music and helped define the R&B legacy of the ‘90s and ‘00s with seven rich, innovative albums. She’s an esteemed vocalist who along the way had to manage the pressures of teenage fame, young superstardom, and self-doubt. These are her Words + Music.

Story
There is a major shift happening in western society where people are beginning to question the sociopolitical system and the social norms to which they are accustomed. People, particularly men, are beginning to realize they live in a system that is unfair and unjust while at the same time requiring them to keep the infrastructure of society running. As a result, some men become ostracized and shunned from their friends, family, coworkers, and other associates because of the inconvenient truths they've become aware of and their decision to change their lifestyle. However, most men have no ...

Toxic masculinity at its finest

The energy this person projected was that of someone extremely emotionally immature. While there is nothing wrong with taking responsibility for how one’s life unfolds, the underlying message often negates this point. The persistent bitterness he displayed when discussing women suggested that he had been hurt by someone he believed he was entitled to, resulting in a bruised ego. Normally, I forego the reviews, attempting to keep an open mind. I intentionally blew right beyond all the warnings and red signs. I have no one else to blame for the loss of 15 mins.

Story
Centuries before the events of A Game of Thrones, House Targaryen - the only family of dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria - took up residence on Dragonstone. Fire & Blood begins their tale with the legendary Aegon the Conqueror, creator of the Iron Throne, and goes on to recount the generations of Targaryens who fought to hold that iconic seat, all the way up to the civil war that nearly tore their dynasty apart.

GoT version of The Silmarilion (3.5stars)
Reviewed: 02-27-19
the story was interesting but dry. Packed full of history and genealogy. This is better read than listened to due to the story being somewhat dry, but it is packed with all the Targaryen lore and interesting backstory that you could want... with important exception of dragon mythos and lore. I would've liked to have learned more about the doom of Valeria and how/why the dragons only respond to the Targaryen bloodline.
