Story
"Bloody" Joe Mannion is a town tamer of great renown. Known as the most uncompromising lawman on the Western frontier, he's been the town marshal of Del Norte in the Colorado Territory for the past five years. One day in Del Norte, he loses his famous temper and badly beats Whip Helton, the son of a prominent rancher. That night, the son and his outlaw pards burn Joe's house and kidnap and rape his daughter. Joe goes on the warpath, getting crossways with the son's father, prominent rancher Garth Helton.

slow, wordy and boring.

Nothing significant happens without way too many words which causes redundancy to introduce what the reader has already concluded.

Story
It's one of the great mysteries of the Old West. The unexplained disappearance of a hunting party of Prussian nobles who entered the American wilderness - and never returned. Now, years later, the Prussian government demands an explanation. In response, the US Army hires Preacher and Jamie MacCallister to join their search party - along with a band of Prussian soldiers led by the sinister Baron Adalwolf von Kuhner. Some believe it's a hopeless mission, that the original party was slaughtered by the Blackfeet. Others think there may be survivors, likely women held captive as slaves.

J Rodney Turner is the best narrator, hands down!

The book story was OK if not predictable. However, another flawless performance by J Rodney Turner. He's the best in the business! My book search always begins by searching for his books and then choosing from among them. Salute to you Mr Turner.

Story
In this intimate, haunting, literary memoir read by the author, an American icon tells her story for the first time, in her own gorgeous words - about a challenging and lonely childhood, the craft that helped her find her voice, and a powerful emotional legacy that shaped her journey as a daughter and a mother.

From the heart and so very candid. Bravo!

I relished every word of this remarkably candid autobiography. I want to watch Sally’s movies and think about her life as she made her way to become such an accomplished actress. I listened to this audiobook twice and thoroughly enjoyed the book.

Story
When gold is discovered near the little town of No-Name, Colorado, the citizens are overjoyed at their good fortune...until trouble gallops down Maine Street on a horse straight out of Hell. For gold's closest companions are greed and murder, and every two-bit gunslick from the Atlantic to the Rockies is beating a path to the gold strike - which is practically on the doorstep of Smoke Jensen. They're looking to get rich quick...and never mind how it's done. But this legendary mountain man never learned how to back away from a good fight - and this one promises to be a whopper.

Great western outstanding narration

I've listened to a lot of William W. Johnstone's books but my real attraction is the narration of J.. Rodney Turner. He makes the characters come alive and his subtle changes in tone, volume, and pitch clearly delineate what character is speaking. Brilliant work. I'm now following this narrator as opposed to authors. FYI, you can search for narrators the same way you search for books.
