The information on the history of the space program was very interesting. The little futuristic stories presented were somebody's worldview where there is no God and evolution is truth. The stories did nothing to add to the book and were confusing.

As always in this series Christian Rummel does an excellent job. The story did start slow, but got better as it went along until I didn't want it to end. Looking forward to the next book.

I really enjoyed learning more about Olive 's family. While not a religious book Olive does have a high moral standard. It was also nice to here a little scripture, even if it was from an unusual source.

Entertaining but bad moral example
Reviewed: 08-26-21
I enjoyed the book. The ending was predictable. Sadly the main character was encouraged to lie to everyone, which sets a poor example to children. The story could have been just as entertaining if she would not have had to lie to her grandmother.

Once she started talking about her love life , I started cringing, I tried to keep listening, I wanted know what happens after all. The premise sounded good, but finally I could take it no more. This was supposed to be funny, but nothing made me laugh. Narrator was a bit halting. This was nothing like the cozy mysteries I enjoy. It wasn't even worth it to me to find out what they did with the body. I did not finish it.

Anytime someone besides Cynthia Darlow narrates, it just isn't as good. For me Cynthia is the voice of Jessica. Laurel's style is more halting. I did start to get used to it by the end of the book. I found the storyline enjoyable. The banter between the characters had me chuckleing many times.
