Story
Doug Stanhope has been drunkenly stumbling down the back roads and dark alleys of stand-up comedy for over a quarter of a century, roads laden with dank bars, prostitutes, cheap drugs, farm animals, evil dwarfs, public nudity, menacing third-world police, psychotic breaks, sex offenders, and some understandable suicides. You know, just for levity. While other comedians were seeking fame, Stanhope was seeking immediate gratification, dark spectacle, or sometimes just his pants.

Great Audible, if you enjoyed digging up mother you will enjoy this one as well. This audible is worth the money and lots of gems throughout that you will not get with the paperback version. I think more people will copy this style of recording an audible in the comedy section. They will rip Stanhope off in the near future with no credit to the man who did it first. Buy this Audible! Chad Shank golden pipes also make it a great listen.

Story
Doug Stanhope is one of the most critically acclaimed and stridently unrepentant comedians of his generation. What will surprise some is that he owes so much of his dark and sometimes uncomfortably honest sense of humor to his mother, Bonnie.

Where does Digging Up Mother rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Best Audio book I have listened to. He adds so much more to the audio book, that you would not get in the hardcopy. WELL WORTH IT.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Doug...duh
Which scene was your favorite?
hookers and blow...no wait...
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
That is a cheap way for someone to do your job. A movie of this book would however be awesome.
Any additional comments?
Great book, VERY FUNNY, its a audio book/podcast all in one.
