Story
Drawing on his own experience with losses and tragedies through the death of his young wife and, more recently, the death of his 16-year-old son, John Mark Hicks tells the story of God through his own experiences of suffering. He does not explain suffering because, as he describes, that cannot be done; rather, he walks with sufferers through the valley of loss. He grounds them deeply in the story of God’s love, listening, empathy, sovereignty, and victory.

Story
Pastor and bestselling author Greg Laurie was one of those fortunate few blessed with an insider’s view of Billy Graham’s world for more than two decades. With the same painstaking research and eye for detail that distinguishes his previous biographies, Steve McQueen: Salvation of an American Icon and Johnny Cash: The Redemption of an American Icon, Laurie now turns to the life of his beloved mentor, offering the intimate perspective of a disciple and friend.

I recently got this audible book as I was interested in Billy Graham’s life story. Found it interesting to learn all the people Mr.Graham had counseled in his lasted both famous or common working class people. I had heard him speak on TV a few times and found him both bold and loving in his delivery. Great tribute by friend Greg Laurie .

Story
The Christian life can have as many heartbreaks as hallelujahs. Circumstances confuse us. Sin frustrates us. Satan likes to inflict pain on God's children. Wouldn't it be great if we could go to heaven as soon as we become Christians and skip the confusion, frustration, and pain? Sadly it doesn't work like that; we have to learn to overcome this world while awaiting the Second Coming of Jesus. In 1-2 Thessalonians, we are equipped to do just that.

Story
A lifelong pursuit of knowing God should embody the Christian's existence. According to eminent theologian J.I. Packer, however, Christians have become enchanted by modern skepticism and have joined the "gigantic conspiracy of misdirection" by failing to put first things first. Knowing God aims to redirect our attention to the simple, deep truth that to know God is to love His Word.

Of all the books I own this book by J.I. Packer is among my "must read " list to others. I love listening to the audible version on my ride to and from work. I have listened through 3 times on my 4th listen.
