Great information, I use this because I run a shop and just to watch the body language has helped me nab some shoplifters. Also helps when working with youth. I have listened to this 3 times and will again,

not like the movie at all
Reviewed: 07-05-13
What disappointed you about Contact?
The whole story, did not even finish it, (first for audible that I did not finish) It was so anti-God, that it seemed to be the main point of the audio. Made me sad, because the movie was awesome.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Contact?
The continuous negativity about God. Not that I cared one way or the other what the author believes but this crossed the line because it was so continuous, not so much about life elsewhere.

Story
We are accustomed to think of sociopaths as violent criminals, but in The Sociopath Next Door, Harvard psychologist Martha Stout reveals that a shocking 4 percent of ordinary people, one in 25, has an often undetected mental disorder, the chief symptom of which is that that person possesses no conscience. He or she has no ability whatsoever to feel shame, guilt, or remorse. One in 25 everyday Americans, therefore, is secretly a sociopath.

Thought provoking since this illness runs in my family, explains much, not just in family but those who can do what they do (with no remorse) in the business world.

What did you love best about Joyland?
The story, Kings style pulls you in with typical scenarios from everyday life.
Who was your favorite character and why?
All the characters were good, a few hinky dye dye.
Have you listened to any of Michael Kelly’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
The performance was excellent, clear, and I cried a few times because it was convincing.
Any additional comments?
Kings Story without hardly any scary or gory stuff. A good story especially if you have or just had a carnival in town.

At Mile 81 on the Maine turnpike is a boarded up rest stop, a place where high school kids drink and get into the kind of trouble high school kids have always gotten into. It’s the place where Pete Simmons goes when his older brother, who’s supposed to be looking out for him, heads off to the gravel pit to play “paratroopers over the side”. Pete, armed only with the magnifying glass he got for his 10th birthday, finds a discarded bottle of vodka in the boarded up burger shack and drinks enough to pass out.
