Story
When a remote Peruvian village is reduced to ash in seconds, the Shepherds face a horrific question: Is this the work of a man-made weapon of unthinkable power, or is God raining down judgment from above, as some believe? As the recently installed leader of the Joshua Bravo team, Jedidiah Johnson shifts into covert operation mode to follow rumors of a new energy-based weapon able to incinerate a target―even a human target―with no warning. With the assistance of the CIA, Jed’s team deploys to Hong Kong to extract the Chinese scientist who helped develop the weapon.

Brian Andrews and Jeffrey Wilson continue to impress with their seamless storytelling. Writing as one voice, this dynamic duo delivers another gripping installment in The Shepherds Series. Dark Fall masterfully explores the unseen world that most people are unaware of, let alone understand. A thrilling read and an engaging listen, this book is impossible to put down. I can’t wait for Dark Rising!

Wow, talk about educational!

I learned so much from this book and couldn't stop listening. I was a teenager when this horrific mass murder occurred, and it's striking how many parallels there are between how the press treated Reagan and how they treated Trump during his presidency. The survivors' insights bring a deeply personal dimension to the story. In my view, Jack Carr's foray into non-fiction is a true best seller, and his collaboration with James Scott is outstanding. Jack Carr doesn't do anything halfway, and this book is proof of that. Whether it's the physical copy, Kindle edition, or Audible version, get your hands on it. Ray Porter, as always, delivers an excellent narration, and I've enjoyed several books he's narrated. Bottom line: get it, read it, listen to it—you'll gain a richer understanding of the past.

This is the first book I have listened to or read by Peter Lencioni. The Working Genius is . . . ingenious! The simplicity of his message is . . . simple to read, simple to understand, and simple to apply! It has the potential to change your team’s synergy.

Anticlimactic

Of all the Alex Hawke novels, this was not my favorite! It went back-and-forth in time, and it seem to have two stories that weren’t really related other than the Hawke name.
