Story
Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing as an average woman. But it’s the early 1960s and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute takes a very unscientific view of equality. Except for one: Calvin Evans; the lonely, brilliant, Nobel–prize nominated grudge-holder who falls in love with—of all things—her mind. True chemistry results.

A great first novel on audible. The narration added so much. I believe feminists would enjoy reading how far they've come. I'm also watching the Netflix series which is not nearly as good as the book. They changes so much.

Story
Jared Kushner was one of the most consequential presidential advisers in modern history. For the first time, he recounts what happened behind closed doors during the Trump presidency. Few White House advisors have had such an expansive portfolio or constant access to the president. From his office next to Trump, senior adviser Jared Kushner operated quietly behind the scenes, preferring to leave the turf wars and television sparring to others.

Loved the book and loved what Kushner had done!
Reviewed: 11-28-22
A behind the scenes and deeply personal look at Jared Kushner and the work he has done in business and politics. From afar, Kushner seems like the guy who has everything, beautiful wife, perfect family, rich, handsome, Jewish, and well-connected with political leaders and business titans around the world. But the book also details many of his and his family's deeply personal losses as well as triumphs. It was another look at the amazing accomplishments of the Trump administration not because of, but in spite of the highly-paid career bureaucrats, politicians, media, and big tech who tried to trip him up at every turn. Thank you Mr. Kushner and Ivanka for going above and beyond to make America great again!

Story
Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is insanity. For decades, the U.S. State Department called it diplomacy. David Friedman was an outside candidate when President Trump appointed him U.S. ambassador to Israel. He took office to find U.S.-Israel policy stuck in stalemate. For years, accepted wisdom was that extensive experience and detailed knowledge of Middle Eastern history and culture were necessary to negotiate treaties. In truth, Friedman realized, all parties played on that accepted wisdom to stall—expecting to get a better deal further down the road.

This is a behind the scenes look at the effort to finally make peace progress. It took Freedman, Trump, and Pompeo to ignore the advice of US State Department Middle East diplomats who had a long history of failure but still had their jobs. Two thumbs up!

First let me say I hate Chick Lit, RomCom's, and Hallmark Movies. However, the story line seemed clever, so I thought I'd give it a go. Boy, was I impressed! Not just with the story, but the narration was one of the best I'd ever listened to. Congrats to author and narrator. You won't know the end of the story until the very end. However, enjoy the clever dialog, great narration, intrigue, wit, twists and turns, and repartee. There was even story line of mommy sex for the soft core enthusiasts. I'm almost embarrassed to say it, but I will probably listen to another Roni Loren book providing it is narrated by Desiree Ketchum.

Story
Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his Black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

Story
Justice Anthony Kennedy slipped out of the Supreme Court building on June 27, 2018, and traveled incognito to the White House to inform President Donald Trump that he was retiring, setting in motion a political process that his successor, Brett Kavanaugh, would denounce three months later as a "national disgrace" and a "circus". Justice on Trial, the definitive insider's account of Kavanaugh's appointment to the Supreme Court, is based on extraordinary access to more than 100 key figures - including the president, justices, and senators - in that ferocious political drama.

Well researched effort to discredit Kavanaugh
Reviewed: 09-16-19
Tells the story of the lengths the once respected media went through to bring down a decent and well qualified man for the Supreme Court. Equally disgusting were the Democrat Senators who plotted and schemed to disqualify Kavanaugh. Makes the Clarence Thomas hearing look like a cake walk. This book made my blood boil, but a good listen on Audible.
