Story
It's been a year since Seth made the deal with the gods that pledged his life to them. And so far, the jobs they've given him have been violent and bloody - which is kind of all right with him. But now Apollo has something else in mind for Seth: He has to play protector while keeping his hands and fingers off, and for someone who really has a problem with restraint, this new assignment might be the most challenging yet.

Male narrator sounds like Adam Sandler
Reviewed: 03-23-23
Sorry if I ruin it for anyone, but the narrator’s accent sounds like one of Adam Sandler’s characters. I keep laughing when he says anything too intense.
That being said, I like this series. The love story is cute and the world building is fun.

Re-record terrible narrator
Reviewed: 04-12-19
Terrible narration! Not sure if I will be able to finish this book and I love the story. Can’t stand the squeaky, high pitched voice and random pauses that make no sense. She makes it sound like a child is telling the story.

Very, very frustrating
Reviewed: 03-06-19
First, let me say Brandon Sanderson is one of my all time favorite authors, but the ending to this book is my least favorite of all of his novels. The ending took an otherwise quirky, often hilariously ridiculous set of characters and put them in a sad and serious end which felt incomplete and disconnected with the lightheartedness of the rest of the series. There is a second ending as there is with all of the Evil Librarian series, but even that one did not quite nullify my frustration. I am looking forward to the next book to see how Brandon Sanderson ties these pieces together and I am hopeful he is able to inject some more silliness and fun back into the series.

Sci-Fi Lovers new favorite book
Reviewed: 11-01-18
If you like sci-fi (or even if you aren't quite sure) you will LOVE this book. I listened to the entire trilogy in a week and I am not a die-hard sci-fi person. The concepts and characters really keep you entertained and make you think, but its just a good read. HIGHLY recommend!
