Story
The war with the Tahni has dragged on for over two years, taking its toll on the lives of all involved. On the Aphrodite colony, Marine turned cybernetic commando Ryan Hendrix is readying his civilian militia to make one final strike against the enemy, in what they know could be a suicide mission. Back in Commonwealth space, Travis Miller and his task force have finally been given clearance to take back the occupied colony system, but the Tahni have had a year to prepare their defenses and the price in blood will be dear.

It’s entertaining, if a little trite.

What a great finish and a great begin

This book was amazing but I guess the last three where just as good as this one. This is the first book that brought a tear to my eye. I wish I would have listen to these books first and then the next set only because it gives a good back story but on the hand listening to the first books makes you understand this book and the last three so much better. All in all the book is great and thank you to the narrator for doing such a great job telling the story you really make you feel like you are there. Please keep making more I would love to see what happens next

Political alliances are crumbling, and their mighty fleet is in tatters. There is nothing to celebrate, even after such a complete victory. They soon learn that there are other stellar neighbors - and they've been watching the conflict with great interest. WOW This new series is as good as the first three books. You feel like you never left the universe and was able to start right where you left off. The book makes you think on what the earth could be like in the future. I like how with this book you get to know the people better and see a different side of the people. This also show light on how governments work and how short sided they look at thing but when thing hit the fan the people come to gather for the comeback good of all.
Keep writing great books like this and you will always have a fan.
Would listen to this again.
