Story
As a traditional psychotherapist, Dr. Brian Weiss was astonished and skeptical when one of his patients began recalling past-life traumas that seemed to hold the key to her recurring nightmares and anxiety attacks. His skepticism was eroded, however, when she began to channel messages from the “space between lives”, which contained remarkable revelations about Dr. Weiss’ family and his dead son. Using past-life therapy, he was able to cure the patient and embark on a new, more meaningful phase of his own career.

Story
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

The Naked Truth
Reviewed: 04-12-23
Pun fully intended! Loved every minute of this. Appreciate the transparency and truths as told from Harry’s perspective. What I am most impressed by: his focus not on bashing anyone but sharing his experience, using his story to spotlight the horrible acts of the British media and showcase the breadth of the damage of those actions and how deep of a chasm caused. I hope some healing came from this for all parties involved. All that glitters isn’t gold but in the end love conquers all! Well done!

Story
From Minneapolis to Louisville, to Portland, Kenosha, and Washington, DC, America’s reckoning with its unmet promises on race and class is at a boiling point not seen since the 1960s. While conversations around pathways to progress take place on social media and cable TV, history tells us that meaningful change only comes with radical legislation and boots-on-the-ground activism. Here, Mallory shares her unique personal experience building coalitions, speaking truth to power, and winning over hearts and minds in the struggle for shared prosperity and safety.

I couldn't pull myself away! This book comes at you with knowledge, passion, sincerity, and heartfelt pain. I was drawn in by little known facts about our culture, yet surprised at the lack of ANGER in the negative sense of the word. Some justified anger was expressed; however, solutions always followed! Definitely one of my faves!

Story
In this “vital, necessary, and beautiful book” (Michael Eric Dyson), antiracist educator Robin DiAngelo deftly illuminates the phenomenon of white fragility and “allows us to understand racism as a practice not restricted to 'bad people'" (Claudia Rankine). Referring to the defensive moves white people make when challenged racially, white fragility is characterized by emotions such as anger, fear, and guilt and by behaviors including argumentation and silence. These behaviors, in turn, function to reinstate white racial equilibrium and prevent meaningful cross-racial dialogue.

Great Insight
Reviewed: 01-08-21
Loved the insight from what seemed to be a realistic and unbiased yet well educated WHITE perspective on racial inequality in America.
Sometimes it was difficult to follow, not sure if it was because of the content or the monotoned narration. I seriously thought it was being read by a digital program for the first 20 minutes or so before I realized it was a human.
Outside of the narration, I think the content is much needed and hopefully we'll received among white AND black societies. This country has a lot of healing to do.

Reigning CrossFit world champion Rich Froning is "the fittest man on Earth". He's fast, he's strong, and he's incredibly disciplined. But it takes more than physical strength to compete and win at an elite level. It takes incredible mental and spiritual toughness as well. And it is the precise balance of all three that makes Rich Froning a champion.

Only ONE Thing Missing

This book was incredible! Rich Froning's story is one I never would've imagined. This one sucked me in! The only thing lacking, in my opinion, is life in the performance. I would've expected the reader to be more enthusiastic and compelling. Did a great job but just wasn't what I expected given the nature of the content. LOVED it though!
