Story
Bernadette Fox is notorious. To her Microsoft-guru husband, she's a fearlessly opinionated partner; to fellow private-school mothers in Seattle, she's a disgrace; to design mavens, she's a revolutionary architect, and to 15-year-old Bee, she is a best friend and, simply, Mom.
Then Bernadette disappears. It began when Bee aced her report card and claimed her promised reward: a family trip to Antarctica. But Bernadette's intensifying allergy to Seattle - and people in general - has made her so agoraphobic that a virtual assistant in India now runs her most basic errands.

I really enjoyed the content of the story. What I did not enjoy was the unnecessary vulgar language. The performance was outstanding.

Story
This version of the Bennet family - and Mr. Darcy - is one that you have and haven't met before: Liz is a magazine writer in her late 30s who, like her yoga instructor older sister, Jane, lives in New York City. When their father has a health scare, they return to their childhood home in Cincinnati to help - and discover that the sprawling Tudor they grew up in is crumbling, and the family is in disarray.

Disappointing

It was a bit over the top for me. I couldn't finish it which is really hard for me. I will usually plug on. The reader was slow, the story was just okay and the use of Jesus Christ as an expletive was more than I could bear.

Wonderful!!!! Jim Dale does an exceptional job reading/performing in the final book of the series. I have listened to this twice and will again next year. It is like revisiting my friends in the magical world. The books are so much better than the movies.

Kind-hearted Aunt Lizzy is shocked; stern Cousin Charles and his humorless fiancée Eugenia are disapproving. With her inimitable mixture of exuberance and grace Sophy soon sets about endearing herself to her family, but finds herself increasingly drawn to her cousin. I enjoyed this book because of the period in which it takes place. It was quite predictable after the first few chapters. It was however entertaining with the variety of characters. I have given the ratings that I did because the performance was well done and the story was clean and enjoyable.

Story
Jane Eyre follows the emotions and experiences of eponymous Jane Eyre, her growth to adulthood, and her love for Mr. Rochester, the byronic master of Thornfield Hall. The novel contains elements of social criticism, with a strong sense of morality at its core, but is nonetheless a novel many consider ahead of its time given the individualistic character of Jane and the novel's exploration of sexuality, religion, and proto-feminism.
