Good story… awful male narrator
Reviewed: 12-23-24
Good story but I could barely stand the male narrator. I couldn’t decide whether he was being lazy or trying to be ‘sexy’. Neither worked. I preferred the female’s narration for the male characters.

We believe these are the divisions that are threatening to tear America apart. But what if the culprit isn't a political ideology or a class of people but a puppet master? He's been manipulating us for centuries - and now he's brought us to the brink of implosion.

Wonderful substance, but not sure the narrator understands what punctuation is for. It felt like a continuous run-on sentence. I had to slow it down in order to continue listening. This would get much better if redone especially after seeing the movie Nefarious.

…and it is the most crucial book that everyone should read/listen to. My mind is reeling and I am so disgusted at our “science” and “medical” officials at the top.
Note: The performance was awful on this book. If not for the jaw-dropping information I wouldn’t have been able to continue. Very monotonous and mechanical. Please have someone else record this. This info is too important and I’m afraid some won’t be able to trudge through the narration.

Lots of holes

I think this podcast could have been longer and more detailed. It seems that the author was a caught in between a pissing contest between two theories. And to the outsider… it seems that there was a childish journalist who got his ego bruised and posited no evidence for his theories other than … Hodel’s an idiot.
Now, I don’t subscribe that Hodel is Beth’s killer, I do find it hard that *spoiler name withheld* did it either while suffering from his condition… they would have lost the skills required to accomplish the murder and setup of the secondary scene when dealing with Encephalomalacia. And the lack of any evidence (from this podcast) of sexual deviance and the nature of the crime just doesn’t jive.
It may be an issue of editing. But it seemed like a lot was left out that may have supported this conclusion. I’m not convinced…

Story
One of Jane Austen’s most beloved works, Pride and Prejudice, is vividly brought to life by Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike ( Gone Girl). In her bright and energetic performance of this British classic, she expertly captures Austen’s signature wit and tone. Her attention to detail, her literary background, and her performance in the 2005 feature film version of the novel provide the perfect foundation from which to convey the story of Elizabeth Bennet, her four sisters, and the inimitable Mr. Darcy.

In this heartbreaking, yet incredible, tale Yeonmi takes us on a journey that seems impossible to have happened in the late 20th and 21st century.
It is a sobering record of the atrocities the people of North Korea suffer while the world watches. How this young lady has emerged from this with such wisdom and grace is probably the most inspirational aspect of this novel.
A must read and should be added to every primary school curriculum.
