About this listen

I am not his conquest. I am not his to claim. I am my own castle.”

Freed from the golden clutches of the Sun King, Lor now finds herself in the hands of Nadir, the Aurora Prince. Convinced she’s hiding something, he’s willing to do whatever it takes to make her talk. But Lor knows the value of secrets—she’s been keeping them her entire life—and she’s not letting hers go without a fight.

When Lor and Nadir team up to search for a lost item that holds the key to her past and her future, she isn’t sure if she can trust him. All she knows is she won’t fall for his promises and make the same mistakes again.

Lor also hasn’t forgotten her vow to destroy the Aurora King. As Atlas hunts her across Ouranos, Lor plots to bring down the Imperial Fae who took everything. But she soon realizes that the future of the continent is about so much more than just her shattered legacy.

Rule of the Aurora King is the second book in the Artefacts of Ouranos series and combines romance, intrigue, action, and adventure. If you love enemies to lovers, fated mates, and fake dating, don’t miss this exciting next installment!

Even Better than the first!

I didn't want this book to end, So I paused several times to make it seem longer. Spoiler alert; I love the backstory of what happened to bring the story to its current point. the only thing in the book that became quite annoying, is her push and pull? Yes I want you. No I can't do this!

I struggled

FMC began to get on my nerves.. so wishy washy and whinny it made it hard to listen to them the whole “how dare you” every time you turn around give me a break she was in a prison for 12 years from the time she was 12 she just really got on my nerves made me not like her as much

Was a great audio book. Fast paced and entertaining. Can’t wait for the third book.

This slow burn >>>

I love when the main characters hate each other but are also wildly attracted to each other. I EAT IT UP EVERY TIME. Especially when there's phenomenal, witty banter.

Lor put us through it in this book—she's very back and forth with her feelings ON TOP of being super headstrong. I can't count the number of times I yelled at my Kindle in frustration because of her, BUT that's also a clear sign I've bought into her character. I can't wait to see how Nisha continues to grow this character.

Nadir is a consent king. Period. I love this man and his patience for Lor. Is he perfect? No. But neither is Lor, and I love how these characters compliment one another.

I think this slow burn may kill me at this point if they don't do it in book 3.

Ending this quick review with Serce sucks.

Onto book 3!

Fantastic narrators

Gripping narrations - hope they keep same crew for the next book! One of those audio books you burn through then mourn you’ve reached the last chapter

Great book!

This was a great second book. The FMC narrator was less annoying and bratty sounding vs the first book so I was happy about that. I’m not crazy about the MMC narrator and never have been. He over acts so much and it’s becomes extremely annoying. He tries to use a sexy voice for ever line except when he is actually speaking dialogue. It doesn’t sound sexy at all because it’s so over the top but he does this is all the books that I’ve heard him in. Same exact voice for every book. Thankfully he doesn’t have many chapters and eventually I just read through his chapters without listening along. I had to speed up this book to 1.7 because it’s almost like they slowed it down during editing. 1.0 sounds like it’s in slow mode. I’ve noticed this with a lot of newer released audiobooks. I wonder if the narrators are slowing down the editing to make more money. A lot of them get paid per hour of recorded book and by editing it to a slower pace they would make more. Idk maybe something the authors want to look into.

It was okay.

First book far superior with a more likeable FMC. She became the typical whiny argumentative brat that so many other young FMCs often portray. Shame. I had hope for this one because she basically grew up in prison! How are you gonna grow up in prison culture and be an entitled nag out the gate? Oh well. At least I can rave about the first book.

Change of tempo from First book

Was not as much action or tense moments in this book as there was the first

The slow burn enemy’s to lovers

The second book in the Artifacts of Ouranos series, sadly, didn't hold up to the first book. I liked parts of it; however, the ending was not enjoyable for me. On to the next in the series because now I'm committed to finding out more of the story. I gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

A great story that’s a little drawn out

Love this book! I wish there was more action like the first book. This one is a bit more of a slow burn love story than a super action packed adventure, but I wasn’t disappointed. Some may call this a filler book, but you can tell that it’s setting everything up for the final book, which I can’t wait to devour when released. Over all, great story.
