Where do I begin? This is an amazing story. The characters are so well-developed and the plot is fantastic! Once I started listening to the audiobook version of this novel, I couldn't stop. As the author said in her Good Morning America interview, "Representation is important". I believe that it's not only important for Native Americans (and other cultures) to see themselves represented in books, film, and television, but also for those of us who are not from those cultures to see them represented as well. That's how we learn and understand one another. I am now a huge fan of Angeline Boulley and the AMAZING narrator, Isabella Star LaBlanc. What fabulously talented women they are! I am anxiously awaiting their next work.

When Shana’s father joins a cult, she tries to find someone, anyone who will help her. Unsuccessful, she takes on the monumental task of fixing it herself. Eventually, she gets some support from the families of the other followers. Adding to her problems, the person she connects with the most is the leader’s son. Loved it! When Shana's father joins a "support group", her suspicions that the group is a cult continue to worry her... especially when tragedy strikes the members. Her journey to find the truth is both intriguing and heartbreaking. Although the narrator wasn't as engaging as I would've liked, I couldn't stop listening to the story. I definitely recommend it!

This is one of the best books I've read/listened to all year. Once I started listening, I couldn't stop. The story is both poignant and mesmerizing. If you have trouble seeing the world through someone else's eyes--through the eyes of someone who has suffered what seems like an unsurvivable loss, this will fix that. The author puts you right in the shoes of a young woman who is desperately trying to do something--anything just to get through. What starts out as a journey that she must do for herself, ends up being a journey she takes for us all. It's amazing. Read it.

I very much miss this First Lady, her husband, and their children. To hear about her life from childhood into the present was... I can't put it into words. It was fascinating, heartwarming, and wonderful. Mrs. Obama is the kind of person I'd like to sit down with over a cup of coffee or tea to talk about anything and everything. I miss having the thoughtful, smart, kind, and forward-thinking leadership we had as a country when they occupied the White House.

Libba Bray, perhaps the finest YA author of our time, has done it again. She's masterfully woven a web that is both spooky and delightful. Her characters are so artfully written that I feel I know them personally. And while Bray's writing is engaging, impeccable, and addictive to read, January LaVoy's narration only makes it better. What an actress! Now I have to find the other books she's narrated and listen to them as well. I don't think you can find a better narrator than Ms. LaVoy. I am anxiously waiting for the next book. Hurry, Ms. Bray!

I'm blown away by how good this book is. James Comey provides a thoughtful and insightful account of his time serving our country in various functions. I understand that the behind-the-scenes look couldn't be shared at the time he was still acting director of the FBI, but I sure wish the American people could've been allowed this glimpse of events at the time it was happening. I want to thank him for his strength of character and trying, always, to do the right thing. The book is well written and his narration is fantastic. (Also, his wife, Patrice, is my new personal hero!)
