Story
One distressing night in Ramsgate, Elizabeth Bennet impulsively offers Georgiana Darcy aid. Scandalous rumors soon surround the ladies and Fitzwilliam Darcy, forcing Elizabeth and Darcy, strangers to each other, to marry. Darcy despises everything about his marriage to the daughter of an insignificant country gentleman with vulgar relations. Georgiana, humiliated after a near-elopement with George Wickham and full of Darcy pride, hates her new sister. Their family look upon Elizabeth with suspicion and do little to hide their sentiments.

Started of strong...
Reviewed: 11-10-20
I have read many P&P variations and this one started off very strong. New story line, new characters-with the old favorites, but then...it just became reparative. There was no major climax- the story became very tame and never gained any more momentum. I kept listening and waiting and hoping- but nope. I felt that it was a great start but needed to go through another draft- edit down the new Georgian storyline or at least bring back the villain we all expect. Just my opinion...

Story
Resourceful, adventurous and utterly indefatigable, Sophy is hardly the mild-mannered girl that the Rivenhalls expect when they agree to take her in. Kind-hearted Aunt Lizzy is shocked; stern Cousin Charles and his humorless fiancée Eugenia are disapproving. With her inimitable mixture of exuberance and grace Sophy soon sets about endearing herself to her family, but finds herself increasingly drawn to her cousin. Can she really be falling in love with him, and he with her? And what of his betrothal to Eugenia?

Not sure why it took 11 hours to say NOTHING at ALL. Started off great...11 hours later a rushed ending and done. Thank goodness I didn’t waste a credit on this!
Narrator was wonderful.

Story
Judith Hampton was as beautiful as she was proud and loyal. Her dear Scottish friend from childhood was about to give birth, and Judith had promised to be at her side. But there was another reason for the journey from her bleak English home to the Highlands: to meet the father she had never known, the Laird Maclean. Nothing prepared her, however, for the sight of the Scottish barbarian who was to escort her into his land...Iain Maitland, laird of his clan, a man more powerfully compelling than any she had ever encountered.

1913: In a sprawling manor on the outskirts of London, three young women seek to fulfill their destinies and desires amidst the unspoken rules of society and the distant rumblings of war.... Sir Philip Buxton raised three girls into beautiful and capable young women in a bohemian household that defied Edwardian tradition. Wanted More
Reviewed: 10-01-17
This book left me wanting more. Not enough character development with the secondary characters and too much time repeating the same story lines. I get it she doesn't want to tell anyone she is weak...move on and grow the story from there. Overall just a disappointment.

Umm it's okay...

I read A LOT of Jane Austen fan-fiction. I like the idea of this story and it could have been amazing, but... It was too wordy in places and not wordy enough in others. Very choppy in the reading. There is a lot of "and she said" "and she then nodded". I will probably read more by this author because I can't get enough of the Bennet family, however I do feel this one should have been priced lower due to the quality of work. This is just my opinion...
