Not your typical romance novel!
Reviewed: 08-24-21
When I heard this book was a zombie apocalypse romance, I had no idea what to expect but it sounded so intriguing I had to listen. I was not let down!
Kate was doing ok. She owned her own bakery, had settled into her town, had friends and even a friend with benefits. She was more or less happy…and then the zombies came.
This book is less about zombies, though, and more about what happens to Kate in all this. She meets a cowboy named Teller along the way, and the chemistry is instant. How do they manage their attraction while dealing with the collapse of society? It is definitely worth listening to find out!
I listened to the the audiobook and I really enjoyed both the story and narration by Veronica Michaels. I was asked by the narrator for an honest review, and I would definitely recommend this book.

The book starts on April’s first day of college, which turns out to be a lot more eventful than she expected! Lots of action and adventure.
I didn’t know if I would like the tech jargon in the book, but I really enjoyed April’s tendency to be a smart ass and her witty banter with the other characters.
The narrator Leslie Gray did a great job bringing the characters to life.

Sweet, second chance romance
Reviewed: 06-16-21
This book is a sweet, second chance romance that tells the story of Liberty Montgomery starting over and building a new life for herself and young son in her hometown of Liberty Lake. Along the way, she rediscovers herself and reconnects with family, friends, and her faith.
I didn’t realize this was a Christian romance until after I started it. It’s not usually a genre I read, but I think it was well done overall.
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Leslie Gray, and I really enjoyed both the flow of the story and how the all the character voices were portrayed.
I received a copy of this audio book for free and and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Great story about a fresh start!
Reviewed: 06-08-21
Callie Williams was on the fast track in New York City. Great job, great apartment, great fiancé. On paper everything looks good, but she is restless. Something is missing, but she is not sure what.
Then everything unexpectedly changes and she finds herself starting over. She wants a career to be excited about, a life to be excited about, and she is inspired by the idea of a bed and breakfast. The Summer Breeze is both the name of the book and the name of Callie’s B&B, and the book tells the story of the creation of the B&B and all about the people in Callie’s life. I felt like I was on a mini vacation in the Finger Lakes for much of the book. I think it would make a great series.
I listened to the audio book version, and Leslie Gray was a great narrator. I could really picture her as Callie, but she did a great job with all the other voices as well. I would definitely recommend both the author and the narrator of this book.

Story
Thanks to a drawn-up-while-drinking-moonshine partnership agreement, Madison Allain has to spend 30 days back on the bayou before she can sell her part of the family business. And if the heat and humidity and freaking alligators of Louisiana aren’t enough to agitate the cool and in-control California girl, then Owen Landry, the equally hot guy who stole her heart 12 years ago, will sure do the trick. Owen just has to remember three simple-ish rules: Do not fight with her. Do not fight over her. Do not kiss her. He can do this.

A great second chapter in the Boys of the Bayou series
Reviewed: 04-10-21
After reading the first book in the Boys of the Bayou series, I couldn’t wait to find out more about the Landry family and Autry, Louisiana. This book did not disappoint!!
Owen and Maddie have always made each other crazy in the best way, until Maddie decided to move to California for a fresh start. That seemed to work pretty well for her, until she inherits her brother’s share of the Boys of the Bayou over a decade later. Maddie she wants to sell and put her past in Louisiana behind her, but thanks to a clause in the partnership contract, she has to spend 30 days in Autry before she can sign it over. A lot can change in 30 days...will it?
I listened to the audio version of the book and liked the alternating narrators. It works well as a stand alone, but if you like this book you’ll love the first book in the series as well.
can’t wait to listen to book 3!

I started reading this book on the recommendation of a friend, and I loved every minute of it. If you’re like me and really craving travel during this crazy time, this is a perfect escape!
I am just starting to fully appreciate audiobooks, but I really enjoyed both of the narrators. They brought life to the book and the crazy Landry family. I loved hearing both Tori and Josh’s perspectives and I loved how down to earth they both were.
I was asked by the author for an honest review but I truly can say I fell in love with the crazy Landry family and can’t wait to find out more about the Boys of the Bayou.
