Story
A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

Story
George Washington was famously unknowable, but Robert Middlekauff penetrates the mystique to reveal the fears, values, and passions that drove him. Rich in psychological details regarding Washington's temperament, idiosyncrasies, and experiences, this audiobook shows us a self-conscious Washington who grew in confidence and experience as a young soldier, businessman, and Virginian gentleman; and was transformed into an American patriot by the revolutionary ferment of the 1760s and 70s.

If you love history and especially the revolution. You must read this book. I loved the history was told so story like, you forget it was non fiction. Washington was the revolution, this book tells it perfectly. The narration reminds me of old school narration from history channel specials, which I love.

Carrie Singleton has more than her fair share on her plate: her job at the Clover Ridge Library, preparing for her wedding to Dylan Avery, and hoping that the local art gallery doesn’t steal away one of her part-time employees. Her fiancé, Dylan, accompanies her to the beautiful home of Victor Zalinka—art collector and successful businessman—to select paintings for an art show at the library. While Carrie muses that Victor's home would be the perfect wedding venue, Dylan spots a forgery among the paintings in Victor's collection. Then Martha Mallory is found murdered in her art gallery.

I enjoyed the story but made brutally difficult to continue with how BAD the narrator speaks. The mispronounced words that are incredibly normal is bizarre. Orchestra is awk- eestraw, like you drunk? thats just one of them. I bought the physical book cuz I couldn't take it anymore.

a very disappointing ending
Reviewed: 02-24-22
I feel pretty bitter wasting time with this series for an ending like this. The author was clearly not invested anymore and threw everything and nothing into one book. It dragged too often and never getting to the point. The event path was nausea inducing 60 things happen and then nope were moving on. All the character growth and building was for nothing. Another book that was shorter would have been preferred to wrap all the loose ends that remain floating. Super disappointing.
The only benefit was the narration was as great as the other books.

Story
Plain-spoken, headstrong Ophelia cares little about appearances. Her ability to read the past of objects is unmatched in all of Anima, and, what’s more, she possesses the ability to travel through mirrors, a skill passed down to her from previous generations. Her idyllic life is disrupted, however, when she is promised in marriage to Thorn, a taciturn and influential member of a distant clan. She must leave all she knows behind and follow her fiancé to Citaceleste, the capital of a cold, icy ark known as the Pole, where danger lurks around every corner and nobody can be trusted.

This book is AMAZING as are the sequels. I am leaving this review to prevent investing into the series. After reading the 4th book it will leave you feeling like you've woken from the worse acid trip. A true disservice to the world and story. The author must just been like nah just put ALL new ideas and no information, I'm done. I almost wish I hadn't read any of them it was so bad and its been said that it is complete. So you will be left with A LOT of things unsolved. Your choice but its gonna hurt.
I hope its just a gimmick to create hype for sequels but who knows.

There is nothing more important than beating Donald Trump in 2020, but defeating Trump is just the start of this timely book. Un-Trumping America offers readers three critical insights: first, Trump is not an aberration, but rather the logical extension of the modern Republican Party; second, how Democrats can defeat Trump in 2020; and third, preventing the likes of Trump from ever happening again with a plan to fix democracy.

Story
One of Jane Austen’s most beloved works, Pride and Prejudice, is vividly brought to life by Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike ( Gone Girl). In her bright and energetic performance of this British classic, she expertly captures Austen’s signature wit and tone. Her attention to detail, her literary background, and her performance in the 2005 feature film version of the novel provide the perfect foundation from which to convey the story of Elizabeth Bennet, her four sisters, and the inimitable Mr. Darcy.

I have read this book so many times. The narrator made it one my favorites re reading this classic. If you are reading it for the first time look no further by far one of the best renditions for audiobooks. I'm going to get the other Austen novels read by this narrator. It's great for people who have re read Austen or are just being introduced.
