John Clark Adventure

The books have gotten shorter and more absurd. Was hoping for me from a John Clark focused book.

Story
Obi-Wan Kenobi has not been apprenticed long to Qui-Gon Jinn, and he is chafing at Qui-Gon's training style: all meditation, no action. Obi-Wan yearns to prove himself on a mission, but when he and Qui-Gon are finally set to leave on an assignment, Qui-Gon is nowhere to be found. Angered by his master's abandonment, Obi-Wan sets out on the mission alone, determined to prove himself. On a mysterious planet he encounters a pack of feral, Force-wielding teens who seem to be the planet's only inhabitants.

Bad abridging
Reviewed: 02-21-22
Interesting continuation of the series but like the first book this one is abridged in a way that makes it very hard to follow what is going on. It seems to jump from event to event with no build up or conclusion for each event. Should be remade unabridged and then I could recommend it but as it is now I would not.

Abridged books suck
Reviewed: 02-16-22
It seemed like a very interesting story. With some of my favorite characters from legends. Unfortunately I was completely lost the whole time because the abridging of the story made If impossible to follow along. I still am not quite sure what happened. The story naturally jumps around a bit but with the half the story cut out the jumps made no sense. I can't recommend an abridged story and especially one like this done so badly that the story makes no sense. It's not the cd/cassette days anymore. They need to go back and renarrate this stories in full as everything is digital now it makes no sense to cut them for length.

abridgement ruins book
Reviewed: 10-20-21
This had the start of a great story and it probably was. I'm familiar with these characters, this time period and this author and it should be great. unfortunately with the abridgment I had almost no idea what was going on the whole time. the story ended up as a disjointed mess and I still don't know ultimately what happened. I will read it one day but it would be great if they would redo these old abridged titles. don't have to worry about storage space anymore. won't be buying any more abridged titles which is unfortunate as I've read most all the other star wars books.
