Story
Who is THE NOWHERE MAN? He is spoken about only in whispers. He comes to those in greatest need of his protection. There is no enemy he cannot fight. He lives by his own code. He takes no prisoners. His name is Evan Smoak. Taken from a group home when he was young, Evan was raised and trained as an Orphan, an off-the-books black box program designed to create the perfect deniable intelligence asset: An assassin.

What did you love best about The Nowhere Man?
The continuing story of Evan Smoak.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Nowhere Man?
Don't want to say, would be a spoiler.
What about Scott Brick’s performance did you like?
I am a huge fan of Scott Brick, one of those narrators that reads so many of my favorite authors...a win win for me. He has such a great voice, and reads the stories just right.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Again, can't say, it would be a spoiler, but yes, there was a moment.
Any additional comments?
I had read the book first on Kindle, and then bought the audio. I do that with books I really enjoy!

Story
On opening day of the new baseball season a small model-kit airplane flies down from the stands and buzzes the mound, where a decorated veteran pilot is about to throw out the first ball. The toy plane is the exact replica of the one flown by the war hero. Everyone laughs, thinking it's a prank or a publicity stunt. Until it explodes, killing dozens. Seconds later a swarm of killer drones descend upon the picnicked crowd, each one carrying a powerful bomb. All across the country artificial intelligence drive systems in cars, commuter trains and even fighter planes go out of control.

I adore the Joe Ledger series. I am a latecomer to this series so I have had the pleasure of reading (and listening) to one book after another. I'm sorry that I am all caught up! I am so looking forward to the next one.
I have read all the books but this one, I chose to listen to this one on audible. What fun it was. The narrator is wonderful, he is Joe, and he does all the other characters so well. I enjoyed it so much I have downloaded a couple of the other books I already read just to listen to wonderful narration.

Not a big short story fan but I made an exception because I love this series and this writer. Well worth the listen, the narrator was perfect, as was this all to short story.
