Story
James Cantrell, the new duke of Tereford, has inherited a dukedom in disarray and is overwhelmed by his unaccustomed responsibilities. Then he gets an idea. Cecelia Vainsmede served as liaison between James and her father, and she knows a great deal about business matters, his own in particular. She's also quite pretty. Ever the pragmatist, he suggests a marriage of convenience.

Story
Oliver Dasenby is the most infuriating man Primrose Garland has ever known. He may be her brother's best friend, but he has an atrocious sense of humor. Eight years in the cavalry hasn't taught him solemnity, nor has the unexpected inheritance of a dukedom. But when Oliver inherited his dukedom, it appears that he also inherited a murderer. Oliver might be dreadfully annoying, but Primrose doesn't want him dead. She's going to make certain he survives his inheritance - and the only way to do that is to help him catch the murderer!

Great Story & Who done it!

This was a great story where you are trying to guess who is trying to kill Oliver while wrapped in romance. Then to have harpie trying to get rid of the competition for the attention of a duke. Finally add in a fairy godmother into the mix. Most importantly, I enjoy listening to Roselyn Landor narration of the book. She does a great job with the different voices.

Story
By edict of the king, the mighty Scottish laird Alec Kincaid must take an English bride. His choice was Jamie the feisty youngest daughter of Baron Jamison. Alec ached to touch her, to tame her, to possess her forever. But Jamie vowed never to surrender to this highland barbarian. Though his kisses fired her blood, shadowed secrets from Alec's past threatened Jamie's happiness. She brazenly resisted him - until one rapturous moment quelled their clash of wills.

Rosalyn Landor as always does an amazing job in narration. I purchased the hard cover book when it first released and still have it on my bookshelf. The story is not just enjoyable but will have you laughing along. Love the banter between the two main characters, Alec and Jaime. Definitely an enjoyable audiobook.

Force to Listen to Horrible Narrator!
Reviewed: 03-02-22
This has got to be the worst narrator on the platform. I cannot believe that Audible let this pass on to customers. I had to sit and listen to this garbage in order to rate it. The first minute should have been enough. Why Audible? The series was great with Rosalyn Landor, and then this atrocity happened. I can't finish the book. I want my money back. Yes, it was that bad!

Story
Sir Richard Kenworthy has less than a month to find a bride. He knows he can't be too picky, but when he sees Iris Smythe-Smith hiding behind her cello at her family's infamous musicale, he thinks he might have struck gold. She's the type of girl you don't notice until the second - or third - look, but there's something about her, something simmering under the surface, and he knows she's the one.

This has got to be the worst storyline in all of Julia Quinn's books. I love her books and this one I had to stop because it was pissing me off. I finally finished it and was still pissed. The narrator is excellent but the storyline tells me that Julia Quinn was having an off day or off book.

Story
Marcus Sinclair, 16th Earl of Sinclair, has lived the last 13 years as a recluse, following an accident that left him heavily scarred. Though a recluse, Marcus has still managed to fall in love. The problem? The woman he's taken with is none other than the sister of the lady he was once betrothed to! Emma Green has fancied herself in love with Marcus since she was barely out of leading strings and he taught her how to fish. Neither her sister's engagement to him, nor the accident that left him disfigured has altered those feelings. But that matters naught. Why would he ever be interested in the younger sister of the lady who ruined his life?

Horrible Narrator
Reviewed: 04-14-21
This is the worst narrated book. I couldn't listen to it. Just stopped it. The narrator needs to find a new job. A five year old probably would do a better job.
