Publisher's summary

RITA award-winning author Sarah MacLean reveals the identity of The Fallen Angel's final scoundrel in the spectacular conclusion to her New York Times best-selling Rules of Scoundrels series.

By day, she is Lady Georgiana, sister to a duke, ruined before her first season in the worst kind of scandal. But the truth is far more shocking - in London's darkest corners, she is Chase, the mysterious, unknown founder of the city's most legendary gaming hell. For years, her double identity has gone undiscovered - until now.

Brilliant, driven, handsome-as-sin Duncan West is intrigued by the beautiful, ruined woman who is somehow connected to a world of darkness and sin. He knows she is more than she seems, and he vows to uncover all of Georgiana's secrets, laying bare her past, threatening her present, and risking all she holds dear - including her heart.

Great story, but the narrator….

Sarah MacLean never disappoints but this narrator left much to be desired. Her performance of some of the voices was grating, at best.

Good finale to the series

I enjoyed this book about the mysterious "Chase" who played a role in the first three books. I recommend you read this series in order to get the maximum enjoyment.

Great ending to Rules of Scoundrels!

This is one of my favorite series ever! I really enjoyed Chase's story. I loved that she turned out to be woman, it was such a surprise. I really really liked Duncan West's character too. They had some good chemistry together, and some nicely written sex scenes.

I am looking forward to the next series by Sarah Maclean, she is a wonderful author.

As for the narration it's Justine Eyre so you know what your getting. Not the best not the worst. All the men sound the same but at least they so sound like men.

Did not care for the narrator

The story was a great conclusion to the series. I purchased the book in kindle because the voice over caused me on several occasions to regret buying the audible book. But while at work I could not stop to read a book. The low scratchy tone used throughout the book is greatly undesirable!

Awesome!!

I've enjoyed the whole series - listened to all 4 in less than a week. I do want to say that both Rosalyn (the first 3 in the series and Justine in this one did a fantastic job - I had read some reviews disliking Justine's performance and I have to disagree.
I highly recommend this series.

Why would you DO that?!

Rosalyn Landor is an EXCELLENT narrator who did a SPECTACULAR job with the books in the series, and on the last book you change narrators?

*Spoiler*

I guess I can almost justify it with the big reveal of the main character being a woman instead of a man as some people mistakenly believed (the signs were obvious if you listened to the previous books).
But for the love of all that is holy, why did you let Justine do it? She is like nails on a chalkboard! A few of her other performances aren’t quite as awful as this one but she REALLY over does it here. She tries way too hard for the throaty Valley Girl, sultry 2 pack-a-day sound and it is nauseating.
I struggled with this audio for days. I love the stories and the characters and how they all tie together, but truthfully, this was a means to an end for me. I think I’d rather just go without knowing the end of the story than suffer through a second more of Justine’s voice clawing away at the inside of my skull.

I’m also a little bitter because she has ruined multiple Jennifer Armentrout books for me too. I will never listen to another audio narrated by her.

Narrator not for me.

Is there any chance for this to be redone with the previous narrator, Rosalyn Landon. I found the way Justine Eyre chose to read or voice the characters especially Chance, the strong mastermind owner of the Fallen Angels, in softer weaker voices completely different from the previous versions was a complete let down. Listening to the series as a whole, I couldn’t finish listening to the last book because I couldn’t get pass Eyre’s voicing of the characters.

I love Chase’s story. Eyre’s voice is perfect.

This is a super fun conclusion to the series. I loved hearing more about the club’s history and inner workings. The column segments from West’s newspaper were cleverly woven throughout. The references to characters from the previous series was nice for readers too. As for the narrator, I was very pleased with the change. She did a good job with Chase’s voice, especially as Anna. The change was refreshing for me, especially as I didn’t like Temple’s voice in the previous book.

As good as athe other Scoundreis

The story was good and I loved that it carried closed out the group.

Also, since I must be reading out of order since I remember the mention of Mr. West in other stories. However it is good to know how his love life got started
