Story
Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

This book was awful. Once I realized the direction it was going, I could not believe it. The reader was just as bad. Only two voices, one for the male characters and one for the females.

What did you like best about The Blood King? What did you like least?
I like that Tris and his group of friends are slowly growing into their skills as they bond together as a group. The story has a good pace with action as well as story and character development.
What other book might you compare The Blood King to and why?
The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. It follows the same type of storyline. The main character is wronged and leads a group of friends to rise up and crush the ones that are abusing them. Plus, the main character is coming into his powers like Tris.
What does Peter Ganim and Gail Z. Martin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
They are able to bring depth to all of the players in the story that I wouldn't have been able to do had I read the book.
Was The Blood King worth the listening time?
Yes!
