Not generally a fan of Frat stories but
Reviewed: 06-14-24
I really enjoyed this story. Lobster shorts will forever be funny to me. The enemy to lovers troupe is a favorite and grumpy too. Worth the frat bros nonsense and dealing with the girlfriend story line which I'm not a fan of in M/M but overall that was relatively painless. Might even listen to it again

Story
In my defense, I was left alone with a bottle of single-malt and a lifelong penchant for protecting my baby sister. Still, that's no excuse to send 10 drunk-texts on why her hasty marriage would be a mistake. If only I had just texted my sister. But nope. I accidentally sent the message to her, her groom, and his super hot wingman. I also used the phrase “super hot wingman”, so I’d like to die now.

Too long and inconsistent
Reviewed: 06-14-24
So I really enjoyed the start, the premise and the banter then mid way through...the characters started becoming similar and the story started getting repetitve...then it just kept going and new characters, parents, ex-wifes entered and only added to the length but not to the story...so I got bored, really bored and didn't even care anymore. The narration was solid though I would have switched the roles. So promisingly disappointed

Story
When I show up to surprise my boyfriend in a barely-there festive outfit, I’m expecting him to be alone. Not hosting family. His fiancé’s family. Down one boyfriend and up a lot of embarrassment, I flee with my tail between my legs. The broken heart will fade. My humiliation, not so much, but my saving grace is the fact that I never have to see either of them ever, ever again. Until I walk into work and come face to face with my new boss.

Story
I left behind my countryside hometown of Spruce, Texas and my teenage tormentor Chad Landry to start over, pursue a career, and make a new name for myself. Fast forward 10 years, and I'm back in Spruce for my high school reunion to confront my past and to face the boy who made my teen years hell. I'm no longer the vulnerable teenager I once was, and I'll guarantee you this: Chad won't have any power over me. But all the mental preparation in the world couldn't possibly prepare me for the sight of the hot, gorgeous, and hunky rancher that Chad has become.

Skimmed the 2nd half
Reviewed: 12-20-23
The premise was interesting, bully to lover and so was reunion..then it lost steam and then the ridiculous idea of two grown men sharing a house in a small town but not telling people they are a couple as if that stops the rumors was a ridiculous choice. This was my least favorite of the series by far

Story
Adrian Powell has a secret, a secret he’s guarded for 17 years. But it’s come at a cost—few friends, fewer lovers, and a lifetime of loneliness. If he’s a bit grumpy and a tad pessimistic, who can blame him? So, exactly how he’s ended up with a bunch of nosy friends, a beautiful lakeside cottage and a successful business, is beyond him.

Almost 5 star
Reviewed: 11-21-23
So I really really enjoyed it, and I was close to giving it 5 stars but it has a little too much angst for me. And the conflict climax was a little ridiculous. Having said that, the connection between the two grumpy men Nial and Adrian was great. And seeing them slowly trust each other and accept friends was heartwarming...I might have even cried a bit. But the best thing of the entire book was the Carmichael family, hysterical and perfect. Highly recommend, my favorite of the series

Story
Cassidy Martin is a country boy through and through. He loves his horses, his Lord of the Rings tourist business, and his isolated paradise at the foot of New Zealand’s Southern Alps. Not that everyone appreciates the seclusion he craves. Take his ex-wife, for example. The sexy-as-hell guy on his latest tour might be whip-smart and push all of Cass’ buttons, but he’s about as country as a pair of Louboutins, and Cass has been there and done that. Broken heart with the T-shirt.

Had it's moments
Reviewed: 11-17-23
So I liked the general story of it... the city guy meets the cowboy, and the suspense part was honestly pretty dang good. But Stef was just overdone and inconsistent...he was depicted as this guy who could attract any guy, but he's super fem and even mentions he's what most guys on apps aren't looking for. Honestly, that wasn't his biggest issue, it was the over the top obnoxious attitude that began to get grating and made it not believable this sexy 6'6 cowboy (Cass) would be so attracted to him. Having said that, always enjoy Gary, and after losing interest halfway through, I ended up enjoying it.

Story
Ethan Sharpe is living every young Kiwi's dream—seeing the world for a couple of years while deciding what to do with his life, no rush. Then he gets a call. Two days later he's back in New Zealand. Six months later his mother is dead, his 15-year-old brother is going off the rails, and the café he's inherited is failing. His life is a hot mess and the last thing he needs is another complication—like the man who just walked into his café—a much older...sinfully hot...epic complication.

Really enjoyed the first third of the book, then it kinda got slow as they kinda treaded water in their relationship. But by the last third, I was fully vested and all in the feels. Gary's narration was top-notch as always.

Jonathan Forest should never have hired Sam. It was a sentimental decision, and Jonathan didn't get where he is by following his heart. Determined to set things right, Jonathan orders Sam down to London for a difficult talk…only for a panicking Sam to trip, bump his head, and maybe accidentally imply he doesn't remember anything?

It's Utterly ridiculous, implausible but perfect
Reviewed: 11-09-23
So look, I see the reviews talking about how implausible the premise is...and I get it, if you want reality-based, this probably isn't the book for you. But if you want, amazing character development (of like 30 characters), sharp wit, gut hurting laughs, surprising depth, and in the end, a sneaky few tears. This might be the book for you.
