Story
Lana Fleming’s sister has vanished from the set of TV’s hottest show, and no one seems to care. Desperate for answers, Lana sneaks in as an extra, only to get stranded with Griffin Hart, an A-list action star with a reputation for good abs and bad decisions. Though Griffin didn’t expect to be cast as a librarian’s sidekick in a real-life thriller, he’s weirdly into it—and into her. Even more unsettling—she sees right through his playboy persona. But their meet-cute soon turns deadly when they uncover a Hollywood scandal for the ages.

Glad I finished it
Reviewed: 03-13-25
I almost quit listening in the first couple chapters, but am glad I kept going.
I was having an incredibly hard time believing a librarian in LA didn't have a clue who this uber famous movie star was; had never heard of him. She wasn't into film, or social media, but she was a librarian, not a mushroom. Then, I didn't like the inconsistency when she knew what papps were without explanation when it even took me a minute to sort it out.
That said, it was a good story and although I figured out most of the plot twists before they were revealed, it kept me entertained.
I thought Rebekkah Ross did a better job at narrating than Chase Brown, I would listen to another book one or both narrated in the future.

I found the twists in the story believable and not at all predictable. Glad I took the chance.

After reading the entire Miss Fortune series, this just wasn't the same amazing and engaging kind of writing I have come to expect from Jana.
I had to go back and check to see if this was an abridged recording because it felt like I was missing key parts.
It took me a while to realize this book was written long before Miss Fortune and that explained it.

I love the antics of Fortune, Ida Belle and Gertie and am a huge fan of this series.
As always, Cassandra Campbell's performance was flawless and believable.
Although it was good, this book didn't give me the same belly laughs as the other books in the series, and the storyline seemed predictable.

I love the Miss Fortune series, so was excited to start this one.
After a short time, I had to double check to see if I was listening to an abridged version of the book, which would have made sense. One chapter ended with the main characters barely having met. It was as if an entire chapter was missing because in the next, they obviously knew each other well.
The whole thing was hard to get over, and although a semi interesting plotline, not enough for me to continue the series. Bummer

What did you like about this audiobook?
It was a feel good story
Does the author present information in a way that is interesting and insightful, and if so, how does he achieve this?
Like everyone else, I'm a big Nora Roberts fan. This book didn't quite meet my expectations
What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance?
Really nothing wrong with narration! I was surprised to find myself enjoying a male narrator for this type book.
Do you have any additional comments?
This story line was predictable, I found myself laughing, and was interested in it nonetheless.

Would you listen to Savannah Blues again? Why?
No, there are too many good books out there to re-read one. I want something new.
What other book might you compare Savannah Blues to and why?
The fixer-upper. Same author, good light reading
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Any book that makes me laugh out loud is worth my time, this one did just that a few times.
Any additional comments?
I liked the book. There were a few twists and turns that kept me guessing for a while. Although the ending was fine, I wish it had had a little more oomph to finish it off.

Story
Before Liz Lemon, before Weekend Update, before Sarah Palin, Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: A recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told. From her youthful days as a vicious nerd to her tour of duty on Saturday Night Live. Tina Fey reveals all, and proves what we've always suspected: You're no one until someone calls you bossy.

Not great

I was hoping for a good laugh. I chuckled a few times, but it wasn't hilarious. But my biggest problem was when Tina would mumble something at the end of a sentence or thought. I found myself rewinding, often several times in the same spot so I could figure out what she was saying. All that rewinding was frustrating.
