GOOD BOOK WITH SOME VERY BAD PROBLEMS

This would be a great book if there were not so many editing errors. I think the content is great and inspiring but the lack of good editing makes it a black eye in what otherwise would be a perfect book. Such as in chapter 10 at 17 minutes in, the narrator repeats" insert chapter 10 text here, insert chapter 10 text here, insert chapter 10 text here...." over a dozen times. This tells me that the audio editing was not done properly to check the AI nor was the editing done prior to giving it to the AI for narration. There were other problems too numerous to post here. The AI voice choice is great and has very real intonations 90 percent of the time . But there are problems still. the AI intelligence reads something that might be like " I Pet 1:2" (I Peter 1:2) and it will say, one pet one colon two". So the author should have seen these lacks and fixed them. I enjoy the narration voice but not the errors that destroy the flow of thought. these are simple fixes that were not taken care of and so I had to drop the stars. Amazon often times will not allow a review to be submitted if there are comments on its technical failures but this is not a technical failure - it is an editing failure.

I enjoy all the teachings of Smith Wigglesworth but have found the human narration voices have sometimes interfered with the message. This AI voice seems flawless and has the right pacing and intonations that allowed the flow of the message to come in clear. The Wigglesworth material is extremely Spirit filled and full of biblical wisdom. Smith's work is full of edification and empowes by the Word. great book and great AI narration!

EXELLENT NARRATION FOR A VERY SPECIAL TESTIMONIAL BOOK

sometimes it is difficult to find a good narrator that expresses a book and such a way as to feel it is being told to you on a real person with real feelings. some narrations are dry and feel mechanical. this narrator doesn't excellent job at the narration, giving it the right texture and pitch and voice for such a very special book.
The book is a testimony of a man's experience in heaven after he was in a tragic car accident that left him dead for over 8 hours. the audiobook captures the essence and the atmosphere of the book in beautiful array.

The testimony of this author's experience in heaven will leave you inspired and amazed!. I have listened to it many times and it does speak the truth of the word of God and has similar inklings to what John saw when he went to heaven. No doubt the apostle Paul saw much of the same thing but in his day it was too glorious to write about. It is a book of a testimony into heaven and what believers who love the Lord Jesus and make him their saver have to look forward to.

An amazing collection of indepth wisdom of Smith Wigglesworth. every chapter is full of insight and in-depth understanding of the word of God. I have several of these audiobooks authored by Smith Wigglesworth, but this collection is the best and I refer to it frequently to refresh my spirit in the audible word. The Bible says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. This man truly walked with the Lord and you can tell from his words as he expounds on every verse and has great insight. Smith Wigglesworth had an amazing healing ministry as well and the healing ministry was proof that what he preached he also practiced.

The narration of this book is excellent. The tone and pace of the voice narrator is soothing and appropriate for the topic and message of the book. The occasional airplane or mechanical sound that washes through in the background can be overlooked. The book is very excellently written. I'll buy the hard copy too! Randy Kay is an excellent writer and everything in the book rings true.

GREAT KNOWLEDGE but very Bad Recording quality

Overall

Andrew Wommack has some very fine inspirational truth filled Christian books out there. His Audible book, Imagination, is top quality. however, this book as good as the writing is, has a dreadful recording. there is a constant hiss in the background and the sound quality is very poor. It sounds like it was recorded with an old fashioned tape machine in a bathroom.

I found the quality to be so poor that it pulled me away from the content of this great pastor's book writings. And even with the volume turned all the way up, I still had trouble hearing the content over the awful hissing sound and diffused words. maybe I got a defective download? If it can't be remedied, this review will remain. You're better off getting his paperback book than straining to listen to this Audible version.

I first bought the paperback version of this book. it was so inspiring I decided to get the Audible version. however as exciting and as beautiful and inspiring as the paperback is, this Audible book falls flat. Some of the content from the paperback never made it to the Audible version. And while the paperback version is very inspiring to read, the narration in the Audible version is very dry and mechanical without any natural inflection or intonation. Sounds like it was read by a computer. And that's the bad thing of it all. I mean when you are hearing people's testimony of having died and gone to the other side and seen God and Heaven and all the Divine things that go on there, you would expect to hear a little of that inspiration come through the narration. But it doesn't. A lot of the sentences fall off in an unnatural down pitch ending like a computer. The voice is so disruptive to the flow of the story that it begins to pull attraction away from what I'm supposed to be listening to as a book. Perhaps it would have been better to be read by a computer in which case you wouldn't be scratching your head wondering why a living breathing human would want to have a computerized drone voice. Yes I still give it higher Stars because the people who share their testimonies of visiting heaven deserve to have their stories heard. Please excuse my rant over this, but I find reading the stories in this case are much more interesting. The wonderful divine blessing of God does come through in spite of human imperfections in manufacturing this version. The narrator has done better in other books. Overall it is a good book, a great book by the stories. But I would recommend the paperback version if this Andudible version does not suit your fancy.

Recruitment with different window dressing

I really wish this book had more content. It seemed to have a heavy tone of repetitive reinforcement. If Tantra is the Way, and we are supposed to find our own way by being a natural person, then this book has some hypocrisy to it . Everywhere in the narrative, the idea that you need a guru for your evolution and self realization is reinforced over and over. Like other religions it supports the idea that you must have a mediator to find your way. The other thing is that the author assumes all readers have low self esteem and are negative to begin with. It supposed that the reader suffers from low self esteem and doesn't have any spiritual experience or self evolution. It further supposed that the listener needs a guru to give all this attention to in trade for enlightened experiences.

If Tantra is supposed to be a "short cut" and our direct route to the God-consciousness within, then there should not be the necessary inclusion of a guru. Further, the meditation tells the listener to focus on the guru and the family of gurus/God's to invoke some kind of connection to them. All of our devotion is supposed to go to them. This instruction seems to further the distance between ourselves and the inner God-realization within each of us.

Like many religious indoctrinations, this book is no different.

There are no short cuts in life. All that we are and ever shall be can be found within us. But society has created systems that seem to loop and fall back onto itself. If you are a Buddhist, you believe that by praying and meditating on Buddha, you will find the Way. If you are Indian, you believe that by focusing on your Deity of choice, you will find the Way. Hopefully you get it right and do not have to reincarnate over and over again. If you are a Christian, you believe that if you focus on Jesus, you will find the Way and not go to Hell. Every religious approach supposes you cannot find your way. This book's philosphy uses the same belief only offers short cuts. But it doesn't have any "short cuts" to self realization because it still uses a mediator, the guru, as a means towards the Way to enlightenment.

Because the wording in the book has a very "must do" approach, the Narrator does a good job of sounding quite paternal and proud in every sense and does a good job of carrying the tone across in this audio book. Personally, it had some snooty undertones that did not help, although I belief the Narrator did carry the energy of the message exactly as intended.

The main technique and practically the only technique offered is to meditate. In this respect, it doesn't offer anything that hasn't already been done or discovered. The book advises the listener to find a master guru to learn more. So unfortunately, it did not offer anything that the listener could have the confidence to find within.

I got through half the book and realized the rhetoric was the same. I could barely finish it.

And just a side note here:

If evolving spiritually is an inner journey, and we are to find the Way, then nothing external (not even a guru) can walk that Path for us. At most, the events in our lives trigger something deep already within us that we bring to the surface of our awareness. We discover what is within and keep or discard our beliefs that help or impede us by our life experiences. Through these experience, we observe ourselves and learn about our nature and beliefs. We separate and make discerning choices of what we want to keep or let go of. This is the Path of the Self realized being. And you don't need a guru, a doctor, a psychiatrist, a medium to do this.
