Story
It’s been three months since their kiss on the beach and Max hasn’t heard a whisper from Jasper. With Christmas fast approaching, and despite vowing he would chase Jasper to the ends of the world, Max is ready to give up. Until Alpha Jericho announces he’s sending a select envoy of Elite Pack wolves to an allied wolf-pack stationed high in the rocky mountains, where they will bear witness to a Blood Moon. A week in a cozy ski-lodge sounds as romantic as you can get, so Max decides to give things with Jasper one last shot.

Nope, no questions answered.

I will say I enjoyed this one better even if it didn't answer any questions, characters still felt unrealistic but the storyline felt more coherent and there was some world building, not a lot, but some. book continues a sort of toxic view of poly relationships while also trying to portray them in a good light (i have no issues with poly, been in one, and I cringe hearing it described in this book.) im pretty sure Elite Pack should have new ownership if the alpha can barely control his people.
after two books it feels even more like the story is cobbled together from a bunch of concepts. world makes little sense, characters are as deep as a puddle you wouldn't get your feet wet in. im two in and I'll finish the third in the hopes of answers because despite my complaints I am invested and curious.

Story
Max Remus couldn't care less about finding his mate—unlike the rest of his fate-obsessed pack. He totally prefers hanging with his bestie, eating his dad's steak sandwiches, and drawing in his trusty sketchbook. But all that is about to change at the Blue Moon Festival—a summer camp where Elite Pack wolves go to find their mates. The festival is a rite of passage for every teen werewolf, and this year's festival will be one to howl home about. The alpha's son, Jasper Apollo, is attending for the first time.

An Eh book with a few good parts.
Reviewed: 07-12-25
characters and world building are the two biggest things I look for in books, this one has neither. The characters feel generic, none feel real, more like half developed concepts, and the world feels fake. like why are packs wealthy? Why do some wolves get a hierarchy while others are just nothing? Why is the drama so low energy? Why are twink main chars written the same? hope the next book answers some questions.

if you like puddle deep characters, over used tropes, and the general fetisization of omega sex slavery that seens to be a generational need to do than this is the book for you.
honestly I'm going through my old audio books giving a listen and archiving the ones I never want to see again.
this is one I'm fine never seeing again.

Story
Strange things are happening all around Brinnswick. Things that remind me of a piece of my past I’d rather forget. Girls are being killed, drained of blood, and left with strange markings on their bodies. When I finally connect the cases together, a specialist is called in - though, what he’s a specialist of is beyond me. When the chief assigns him as my new partner for the case, I can’t help but groan on the inside. Why of all people would I be assigned to Ailin Ellwood?

Cringy 12 year olds emo fanfiction
Reviewed: 10-17-24
Usually i will try to sit it out, even put it down to try again later. No, i feel bad for the narrator because he tried his best. The cherecters all came off as cringy gothy emo teenagers, the whole detective aspect came right out of daytime tv cop dramas, the paranormal felt like it was all old youtube lore videos. Nothing about this story felt unique or new.
Luckily the credit i bought this with was free because id be upset with myself if i spent money on this.

that being said I had a few gripes. one the whole story felt rushed, you can play at a slower speed but it sounds off, and two the constant re explaining everything felt like time was just being added on. the opening look back told you the same info as the first few chapters. I get that its been a while but still. the books memorable enough with out the constant reminders about who or what. now the good. what's happening to Charlie is disturbingly fresh for a protagonist. I look forward to the next book when ever that is.

every book has been better than the last. I'm sad there were only three. there isn't much of a description so with out spoilers. there is murder on the quarian+ ark and the culprit is all too familiar.
the character voices were amazing almost like the game voices. the story was suspenseful to the end. this was a treat. my only complaint was it wasn't longer.
