A fun listen

For any of those who read "The Secret" and who delved into any type of self-help, new age healing or haven't but want some insight into that world, than this is a fun read for you! There were some laugh out loud moments that made me think about the the crazy things I have been coaxed into doing in the name of AFOG (another freaking opportunity for growth). A fun, light, lively read about someone getting through the great recession and reinventing herself.

What you've been told about losing weight is wrong

Very interesting read if you are wondering why you are getting fat or not being able to lose weight with the usual calories in / calories out method. The first half of the book goes into great detail with why the calories in / calories out method doesn't work and the science to back up that assertion. By the end of the book you hear about what to do about it. Spoiler alert - no sugar and low to no carb diet is the method that proves out in science to work best for losing and maintaining weight.
For this sugar and carb loving gal that is sad news to hear! I'll have to give it a try and see if it works.

Depressing state of affairs if even half of this is true

This book is hilarious and horrifying at the same time. Some of the stories are jaw dropping. A very interesting insight into the Trump Administration. The narrator was excellent and really added to the story.
