Story
From the outside, Harold is an average seven-year-old third grader growing up in the 1960s. Bored by school. Crushing on a girl. Likes movies and baseball—especially the hometown Boston Red Sox. Enjoys spending time with his grandfather. But inside Harold’s mind, things are a lot more complex and unusual. His thoughts come to him as birds flying through a small rectangle in the middle of his brain. He visits an outdoor cafe on the moon and is invited aboard a spaceship by famed astronomer Carl Sagan.

Not for me. Not interested in finishing it. Random stream of consciousness from childish perspective.

Moronic

Moronic, sophomoric, flat, unimaginative juvenile, not creative, I want back the time I spent giving this book a chance.

Not up to expectations
Reviewed: 06-15-17
It seemed like Mr Grisham called it in on this one. The story was over before any kind intrigue or excitement, which you would expect from this author, took place.

Story
Madeline is a force to be reckoned with. She’s funny, biting, and passionate; she remembers everything and forgives no one. Celeste is the kind of beautiful woman who makes the world stop and stare, but she is paying a price for the illusion of perfection. New to town, single mom Jane is so young that another mother mistakes her for a nanny. She comes with a mysterious past and a sadness beyond her years. These three women are at different crossroads, but they will all wind up in the same shocking place.

Compelling and entertaining

She nailed the parent organization pettiness and gossiping in such a funny narrative while weaving in serious matters such as domestic violence and raising teenagers. I want the 3 main characters to be my best friends!

Predictable and a bit one dimension.
Reviewed: 04-11-17
Ok for a light easy read. The plot was predictable to everyone except the protagonist. The characters were entirely good or entirely bad, no nuances, so fell flat. I don't plan on spending more money on the series.
