This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
no one. This is just a listing of boring case histories. It doesn't really provide instructional info. I can't stand to listen to this. This has got to be just about the worst audiobook I've ever bought. I love Edgar Cayce, but this is just a monotonous regurgitation of readings. I want my money back.
Would you ever listen to anything by Kevin J. Todeschi again?
never!
What three words best describe David Hartley Margolin’s voice?
very nice voice
What character would you cut from Edgar Cayce on the Akashic Records Audio Book?
the author

The interesting topic, story line and focus on women in history.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
yes
Any additional comments?
Tracy Chevalier is one of the 21st Century's best writers. She is amazing. Her other books have been a bit depressing due to the subject matter, but I didn't find this one to be!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
The story line could be better. I found it depressing!
Would you ever listen to anything by Marlena de Blasi again?
no
What didn’t you like about Laural Merlington’s performance?
Did anyone EVER listen to this who speaks Italian??? There were many errors in the pronunciation of Italian words. I couldn't believe it! It was so unprofessional!
More than one person needs to read different characters. I find it irritating otherwise.
Any additional comments?
hard to believe a book on life in Italy could be uninspiring!

dragged on..immature lead character
Reviewed: 09-02-12
What would have made I've Got Your Number better?
This story has a lot of potential, but it just dragged on. The main character seemed like she was in junior high school...so immature emotionally. The book went on and on about emails. It needs a lot of editing and the plot needs sprucing up. The characters need more development.
Would you ever listen to anything by Sophie Kinsella again?
probably not
How did the narrator detract from the book?
It's hard for one person to do many roles. More than one person should be reading several characters.
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed the movie, Confessions of a Shop-a-holic, so I thought I would enjoy this book. Perhaps her other works are good, but I don't want to risk spending money on it.

An Italian village on a hilltop near the Adriatic coast, a decaying palazzo facing the sea, and in the basement, cobwebbed and dusty, lit by a single bulb, an archive unknown to scholars. Here, a young graduate student from Rome, Francesca Cappelletti, makes a discovery that inspires a search for a work of art of incalculable value, a painting lost for almost two centuries.

Story
Jane is a young New York woman who never seems to find the right man - perhaps because of her secret obsession with Mr. Darcy, as played by Colin Firth in the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. When a wealthy relative bequeaths her a trip to an English resort catering to Austen-obsessed women, however, Jane's fantasies of meeting the perfect Regency-era gentleman suddenly become more real than she ever could have imagined. Is this total immersion in a fake Austenland enough to make Jane kick the Austen obsession for good?
