Story
Despite its beauty, Newport is a place Cass Coventry would prefer to forget. But after a long absence, she’s back in town to celebrate her sister’s engagement—even if she’s marrying into the family that stole the Gilded Age Coventry mansion out from under them a decade ago. The moment Cass pulls up to the estate, she’s in for one surprise after another. The bride-to-be is hiding a big secret. Her eccentric mother has royal wedding aspirations. And when the date is set, a local gossip blog makes the families—and their famously complicated history—its new favorite subject.

This was a nice story and kept me reading. HOWEVER, NOT ONE PERSON thought to check out to properly say the names of repeatedly said common Newport locations. So distracting and upsetting for this local Rhode Islander.

Story
Buckhead isn’t a place you live, it’s a place you survive. And that applies even to the wealthy housewives that have it all. Fancy cars, designer clothes, and daily salon appointments aren’t nearly enough to keep them fulfilled and happy. Because in this town, privilege and opulence go hand in hand with betrayal and revenge. Jenny, the owner of Glow, an exclusive membership-only beauty salon, knows that better than anyone, because she knows everything about these housewives—down to each individual strand of hair.

Exactly the experience I needed

This is escapist reading at its FINEST. A brilliantly crafted, fast paced, juicy, exciting drama about women you immediately love to love and love to hate and the jerk-offs they married. So glad I gave this one a try, Jeneva Rose fan for life now.

Story
In 1631 Elizabeth Winthrop, newly widowed with an infant daughter, set sail for the New World. Against a background of rigidity and conformity she dared to befriend Anne Hutchinson at the moment of her banishment from the Massachusetts Bay Colony; dared to challenge a determined army captain bent on the massacre of her friends, the Siwanoy Indians; and, above all, dared to love a man as her heart and her whole being commanded.
