Story
It took me a while to learn that sometimes no matter how much–or how hard–you love someone, or something, you have to let them go. You can’t save a sinking ship. Sometimes, you have someone else you have to be strong for, who needs you more. You make a choice; a devastating one. And you hope, maybe one day, they’ll come back to you.

Really wasn’t enough of a story….
Reviewed: 07-14-22
I enjoyed the first book but really, the sequel could(and should) have been condensed and thrown on to the end of the first book. The only reason to buy the second book is because the first book ends on a cliffhanger.
Meh 🤷🏻♂️

Story
Manning and I have what happily ever after is made of.... A home he built us on the unshakable foundation we fought for. A life of laughter carved out of heartache and betrayal. A love story to stand the test of time. But between a trust that can’t be broken, joy that can’t be bridled, and passion that would scorch the sun, the empty spaces are becoming more and more difficult to ignore.... Fears that keep Manning up at night as he slips from our bed. Our complicated relationship with a man he respects, and one I don't know how to forgive.

You’ve already come this far…

This series has become my new favorite. Its funny, sweet, thoughtful, relatable and completely heartbreaking at times. This book was a nice little bow on top that did a good job of finishing up the story of Manning and Lake. It kinda dragged in a few places but if you’ve already come this far then you might as well finish the story. IMO, its not as captivating as the first 3 books but I’ve fallen in love with Lake and Manning to the point that I could read about them sitting snd doing nothing and I would be content.
The only thing that sucks about this book is that its the last one in the series. Book Hangover is a REAL thing and this story will be impossible to move on from.

Story
The Wheatons are infamous among the east coast elite for their lack of impulse control, except for their daughter Clara. She’s the consummate socialite: over-achieving, well-mannered, predictable. But every Wheaton has their weakness. When Clara’s childhood crush invites her to move cross-country, the offer is too tempting to resist. Unfortunately, it’s also too good to be true.

He plays metal and classical music - on the violin. He's got a body built for sin. And he's 24. In comes Ivy. She's a 36-year-old single mom who hasn't dated in 18 years. All she wanted was a tattoo. She got a whole lot more.

Story
The people we love are thieves. They steal our hearts. They steal our breath. They steal our sanity. And we let them. Over and over and over again. They say you never forget your first love. Mine was a homeless musician who wandered straight into my soul. He was my first everything. And fourteen years later, I still can't get him out of my head. He broke all my rules. He also broke my heart. I watched him climb to stardom, cheering him on from afar. But I was never a fan; just a girl in love.

At first I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy this story. Early on, The Heroine seemed to be making HIGHLY questionable decisions and I thought it was ridiculous…but, I gave the story a little more time and I’m glad I did. This was a heartbreaker but it was also wonderful. Carian Cole is the best.

I’ve listened to 2 of Carian Cole’s books and BOTH are now my favorite. The narrators have been excellent in both stories and are quite possibly the best I’ve come across. At this point, I have no choice but to devour everything she has written. Can’t recommend this Book enough, definitely check it out .

Story
When I was five years old, I told Toren Grace we were going to get married someday. He’d been my closest friend, my protector, and my rock since the day I was born. But during my senior year, our relationship slowly changed. Silly conversations morphed into serious heart-to-hearts. Innocent friendship turned to stolen glances. Then one day, an unexpected kiss changed everything.

I couldn’t get past the first couple chapters. The Narrator is not the right fit for this at all and it sounds like its being read by a 10 yr old.
No idea if the story itself is any good.

Story
I was a good girl. I ate my vegetables, volunteered at the local autism centre, and sat in the front pew of church every Sunday. Then, I got cancer. What the hell kind of reward was that for a boring life well lived? I was a 17-year-old paradigm of virtue, and I was tired of it. So, when I finally ran into the man I'd been writing to since he saved my life as a little girl and he offered to show me the dark side of life before I left it for good, I said yes.

Story
When I met Donovan Kincaid, I knew he was rich. I didn't know he was filthy. Truth be told, I was only trying to get his best friend to notice me. I knew poor scholarship girls like me didn't stand a chance against guys like Weston King and Donovan Kincaid, but I was in love with his world, their world, of parties and sex and power. I knew what I wanted - I knew who I wanted - until one night, their world tried to bite me back and Donovan saved me. He saved me, and then Weston finally noticed me, and I finally learned what it was to be in their world.
